We have all been there, those times where you don't feel as confident in your own skin. Being a new Mum to my beautiful 9 month old Isla, my health and living a balanced lifestyle hasn't necessarily been at the forefront of my mind. Looking after my little girl and navigating the early stages of parenthood have been and I am SO GLAD I made that my main focus.
Nearly 10 months postpartum, I am now in a better position to put myself first, spend a little time on #selfcare and #selfimprovement so I am now focusing on eating a little cleaner and simply moving my body more.
Don't get me wrong....I am not going to restrict myself on enjoying food...as loving food is 100% one of my hobbies (no I am not kidding!) however being more mindful on my portion sizes, reducing the amount of bread I consume on a daily basis and swapping my usual white rice and pasta for wholegrain alternatives.
I am going to focus on moving my body in ways that feel good for where I am at right now and for now that is walking, running and joining in on gym classes (I am wanting to try different classes to see what I like best!).
In a months time I will be doing an updated vlog on my progress so far, to track how I feel, how I have progressed and to have a little accountability.
If you're in a bit of a funk too, know that I completely get it! Let's ensure that in a weeks time, months time and so on... we can look back and know that we made choices that have led us to feeling happier and more balanced.
