Same thing happened with an old cat I rescued and cured and loved for 5 precious months and my last love who left us in June😢 all my love charlie, brina, mati and all pets waiting for us up on the Rainbow Bridge ❤

Yeah exactly, he was FIV+ too... but had a great 16 months on acres of property with other cats, lots of food and warm shelters with heat lamps in winter

at the sanctuary I volunteer at we have this more. Those cats often survive on adrenaline and stress and when that falls away because they have a good life, their body just shuts down. It's never easy, but at least we know that they were cared for in their final days.

I can’t image the fear a cat feels when that cage closes, but for the rescuers, it’s the greatest sound. Knowing we are going to change this cat or kitten’s life. Thank you Chris and his caregivers for giving him the best 16 months. He was safe, loved, and will be missed.

You changed this cat’s life Chris. Even if it wasn’t long, this poor cat got the medical attention, love and care he so desperately needed and deserved. His life would have been much shorter and much more difficult if he had been left to suffer on his own. I’m glad this cat developed a strong bond with one of his caregivers and that he was well taken care of in his final years. His life had some joy and he shared his love with others. ❤

oh. Just like our Charlie. Such a hard life before us (our Charlie was abused resulting in a brain injury). It took 6 years of patience and love and being willing to go at his pace. When he died he trusted us and learned to cuddle and be held and kissed and brushed. So heartened to see this Charlie was given joy and comfort and Love before he left this earth. Thank you Cat Man Chris for your compassion.

Thank you to everyone who helped Charlie live out the rest of his life comfortably happy, with a full belly, surrounded by love. This made me tear up, and i made sure to give my 12yr old rescue Charlie, the most handsome tuxedo boy, and let him know his cousin was loved and was time for him to move on. Charlie knows he's over there hanging out with all his other cousins, Tiggy, Rascal, Princess, Kitty Buddy, and all the rest.

He was able to experience love, some degree of health and never having to suffer that way again. So sorry he wasn't found sooner. He lived his best life for the time he had left thanks to the kindness of strangers.....

First there were tears of sadness, replaced by tears of joy, and then, tears of sadness again. But my weepiness isn't important when sweet Charlie at least knew what if felt like to be safe and loved (not to mention healthier - he certainly did turn into a handsome fellow once the nasty mange was dealt with). Thank you so much for doing the hard work of helping the cats that get forgotten find safety and joy again. ❤
