There is a similar pattern for adults by the same designer called Catrin sweater. If one leaves the pockets off of it ,it looks very similar..

Thank you Staci!!! Your knitting technique is so unique and precise. I love learning from you. Your tutorials are relevant and useful, clearly communicated and your visuals are wonderful. I do have a question though, would you be willing to do a tutorial on "steaming?" I have NO idea how to do it.

Could you possibly be able to use a different weight yarn that gives you the same stitch count without knitting double stranded?
@verypinkknits5 жыл бұрын
It can be done...but the thing about this yarn and using it double stranded is the amazing stitch definition you get. The plies of this yarn are really tightly twisted. You can see the crisp distinction between the ribbing and the stockinette, and the really clear lines of the ribbing. Makes for a very pretty sweater.

I have some Madeline Tosh worsted weight yarn that I haven't found a suitable pattern for, this would be gorgeous to knit up since my stitch count per 4 inches is the same as what is required for this pattern.
@julieswift26033 жыл бұрын
I'm stuck on the back part, working first size 78 cast on, I do the 2 rib rows ok then the 2 stocking stitch rows, but then it says dec row, then work 5 rows?does that mean dec then purl dec purl dec?
@verypinkknits3 жыл бұрын
Julie - I haven't worked this pattern for a while, I recommend contacting the pattern designer or LoveCrafts directly for pattern support.

Hi, I noticed that I don't see any twisting of your working yarns as you knit whereas I get a lot of twisting 😟 What's the technique? I've tried several ways but still gets a bunch of twisting huhuhu

@tiffanystark56735 жыл бұрын
Why would you use double yarn instead of a thicker yarn?
@verypinkknits5 жыл бұрын
This yarn has a really tight twist on the plies...when you hold it double, it enhances the stitch definition even further.

@@verypinkknits interesting! Still learning :)
@danbev854218 күн бұрын
Lots of knitters kit with double yarn. Depends on the effect wanted. Some put different colors together, some, for example, knit with a nice wool and a mohair together. It’s more expensive, but can give a wonderful finish.

How do I get the pattern
@MsRobbi45 жыл бұрын
Can this pattern be converted for crochet? I sadly don’t know how to knit 😥
@verypinkknits5 жыл бұрын
Converting a pattern like this from knitting to crochet isn't a simple modification...one would pretty much have to start from scratch and rewrite the whole thing. I encourage you to expand your craftiness! There is a ton of benefit to knowing how to both crochet and knit.
@MsRobbi45 жыл бұрын

I LOVE THIS PATTERN. I HAVE KNITTED MY BACK AND STARTED MY LEFT FRONT. THE INSTRUCTIONS TELL YOU TO WORK STRAIGHT UNTIL 12 ROWS LESS HAVE BEEN WORKED THAN ON BACK TO SHOULDER SHAPING, ENDING WITH A WRONG SIDE ROW. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW MANY MORE ROWS TO STITCH BEFORE THE SHAPE NECK PART. PLEASE HELP!
@verypinkknits5 жыл бұрын
I mention this in the video...you have to keep track of the number of rows you knit on the front/back and on the sleeves. If you didn't keep track, you'll need to go back and count.
