First of all,,seeing you sitting there almost hidden behind a mountain of Gorgeous yarn was priceless....I'm a little jealous lol !! 😄 But secondly,,I think Skeino is my new favorite company~!! I've never used or felt their yarn,but it seems Beautiful from the photos. And,my special needs son passed away a few years ago,when he was 13 and I'm always looking for new ways to honor his memory. Supporting a company that supports special needs is one way to do that~!! Thank you for sharing this with us(I know this vids a few yrs old,but I'm a new knitter!). The shawl is beautiful and the tutorial helpful as always. One suggestion is to use lighter yarn so that the stitches and ridges are visible on camera and the contrast between yarns is more obvious. Thank you.

I don't have a suggestion for yarn, but you can use any bulky weight yarn. Knit Picks has nice yarns in a ton of colors that don't break the bank, that's where I'd probably look.

+LukeKnitz Knitting and Crochet - I don't know of any sharper-tipped bamboo needles, maybe she'd be interested in birch wood instead? Knitter's Pride Dreamz are a good choice for lightweight needles with sharper points.

I would like to say first thank you for all your videos, I learned knitting from you and I bought some of your patterns and planning to buy a lot more. I have 18 ridges done and suddenly I find out that I forgot to increase in on of last 4 ridges so now I have 122 stitches. should I just increase couple more here and keep going or should I just keep it at 122 am not sure what to do.

Love the yarn! In the tutorial section on blocking you stated putting the wet yarn in the dryer on spin to reduce the water absorb in the yarn. My dryer doesn't have a spin cycle , did you mean the washing machine?

+dmission - yes, but just on the spin cycle. I do it with pretty much everything I knit.

I just finished the moon shawl but it came out half the size, looks more like a scarf, yikes what did I do wrong? Followed pattern needles exactly any advice? Love your tutorials now if I were half the knitter you are I'd be thrilled 🙂

If you followed the pattern exactly and your shawl is small, it is likely that your gauge is tighter than the pattern, and this can be corrected by using bigger needles. You can contact Skeino directly for pattern support, you can reach them on their website, or by FB message.

Could you do knit/pearl/stockinette so it's smooth on one side? I can't wear stuff that's too "chunky" looking or I look like a football player :)

It's possible, but it would make a totally different scarf. A stockinette scarf curls up and does not lie flat.

Is anyone else seeing an ad for a hand knit shawl for 30 bucks on Etsy and other stuff under this video? Its definitely undercutting the prices of the yarns from Skeno. Plus its already made with wool for 30 bucks. I do not approve of this from Google on You Tube. If I were staci, I'd say something to You Tube! How do I turn it off? It's totally distracting!
