Its nice to know that your're willingly to drop knowledge and I hope we continue to see more from you because your stuff is great stuff. Cheers from the UK man.

This give me goosebumps. A fitting tribute to MCA. Well worth fleshing out and expanding this track.Real deep. Reminds of a part in a movie where someone close to MCA would be flashing backing and reminiscing about MCA and the times they had. My imagination.

Did you sample each note to the taped pads or one note and the tape the scaled pads?
@tinktwiceman11 жыл бұрын
Dope! So does every pad go up half a note? like if you're root is C, the fifth note is c sharp?
@VinylAthletes3 жыл бұрын
So dope. So one question, how long do you make the bass tone when you sample and edit? Or it doesn’t matter?
@Verysickbeats3 жыл бұрын
Preferably at least 4 seconds so when it comes to mapping out the notes or using 16 level note variation, the higher pitched notes aren't too short. I mainly use note off tho anyway for short notes but i like to have both options.

Old intro by Veeeryyyyyyyy Siiick Beeaaaaaats. Will you do a tutorial for the new mpc softwares. Like 1.9 or 1.8 from the Renaissance or the Mpc studio black. Im currently using my mpc studio black slimline and man o man. Im good in it buuut. If someone would give me a mpc 2000xl i would know more on that then on my mpc studio black. Even if you dont make tutorials for the mpc software your tutorials are there forever for most things a hipgop producers needs. So hard to find old school hiphop beat producers that make tutorials and then you the one who is doing it. Thats great🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝. Keep it going as always god bless.

How do you chose your root notes?
@mikegraham927 жыл бұрын
Do you have a method for choosing which scale to use when creating your baseline? Like is it dependent on the sample that you have or is it kind of based on the kind of feel/vibe you want the beat to have?

JFill you´re a great producer and a generous person. Anybody want to share his knowledge of mpc in this way. THANKS! I have some questions for you to help me. I have an mpc2500 and I am crazy about perform a bass line with the kick…I know there is simple but the result sometimes is well and sometimes no. I need you explain me the concepts with examples of filters and envelope…depth filter1-filter2 velocity oscillator…and velocity in tracks…I feel like see you making a simple beat from the beginning. On the other hand, I recognize that some sounds disappear when I am in tracks muted side. If you are interested, I could send a beat I am working on it to have the same reference and later if I improve my skills, we could work together. Big ups!

I use mpc element but when i split my bass note in 16 pads their play time varies..any suggestions?
@Verysickbeats6 жыл бұрын
that happens to any sample that gets split into 16 levels. the time and pitch changes. Some remedies are to use time stretch which i hardly ever do.. or use warping in your DAW, or last but not least map notes from a plugin instrument...
