Hay , you passed inspection Robot. Good job . I have done this thousands of times, one aluminum. Head I remember had 7 broken studs in it . I highly recommend you get some lefthand drill bits they'll often grab the stud or bolt and spin it out without needing a extractor. I don't just tapered extractors because they tent to expand the old stud . Several companies offer straight sided extractors that don't expand the stud . Snap on for one, even available at Harbor Fraight. In the kit you get a drill guides, drills, extractors and adapters so you can use any type wrench to turn it. Most often I use a stubby box end or 1/4 drive stubby ratchet.

Another great video. My wing mirror snapped off and there was nothing left but to drill into what was left. A friend lent me an extractor. I first drilled a small hole in what was left, then a larger hole, then used the largest extractor that would fit and thank goodness it came out. No doubt easier than what you just had to do.

Hey Robot, I have to tell you, you have really added to my Vespa experience of about 2 years now with a '06 LX150 that i got to see if i liked it for daily commute, great fun, a joy to ride and saves me a bucket of coin and saves mundane miles on my dream car. You've inspired me so much I'm getting my pristine 2013 946 delivered on Friday, can't wait. Only problem i see coming is wanting to keep the 946 for Sunday special and ending up with 1car and 2 Vespa's for one person and ending with a No+1 issue.(that said, I'd like a nice vintage PX), I have been known to go overboard with collecting. Thanks for your great videos and advice. keep up the good work. With appreciation and respect, cheers Kevie Mac in Australia

Awesome clip. Just the kind of “tricky situation” I was hoping this series would reveal. Also appreciate the proper video title, easy to find via search. I’ve got a similar sized Brembo front brake caliper bolt that I over torqued and snapped. Needs pulling and replacing before the spring thaw.

I had to do this 30 years ago on a CB1100f, and the frame interfered with access. Once I got the extractor in, it also broke off. Talk about a nightmare job.

I've broken rear bolts on exhaust, but not on header. Fingers crossed this never happens.

What's the best way to pressure wash your motor? Can I just pull out the seat bucket and blast?
