Initial impression was that all things “Disney and Mickey Mouse” have a strong following in this country. This should fair better than previous Special Editions. I wasn’t sure about the colors until I saw your toy collection. Then it made perfect sense. I guess that eliminates me as an aficionado - but it’s still a class act on the part of Vespa. Like others, I’m intrigued by Robot’s comments on the possible demise of the Primavera/Sprint models and what might take their place (besides E versions). Do tell, Robot! You started it!! 🙂

Nice addition. Why not, Vespa is smart and Disney is popular. Anythng Mickey sells. And at the end of the day it is a Vespa. Mickey will get where he needs to go.

I am not a fan of Mickey Mouse but this bike has some childish, "toyish" color scheme. I think it will represent anybody with a childish soul pretty fine. It looks like a giant toy, and I love it.

What interests me is the speculation on the ending of the primavera/sprint generation. I dont think that the elettrica prooved to be a realistic replacement for small cc petro engines so we will see a new petrol gen. Too bad they dropped the 2t possibility and did not continue where the ditech left.

As a Canucklehead I don't have any patriotic feelings about Disney or Mickey beyond any other persons appreciation for those that make our lives a little happier than they would otherwise be. Having said that, I like it. No problem with the regular Vespa's colours, but these Mickey colours make it stand out from the solid tones we're used to. Not as eye popping as the bright yellow they had out a few years ago, but maybe more engaging.

Awesome! I've heard people buying the 150 cc, yet register them as 50cc since they are (allegedly) visually the same. Is it true that at a glance you cannot tell the difference between a 50 cc and a 150 cc Vespa?

I'm interested in getting this Mickey Mouse edition because I'm a Disneyland Cast Member, and it'd be extra fun to talk about when I roll into the lot or garage and am asked about it. I'd probably get tired of answering the same questions after a few weeks, but I still think it'd be a lot of fun, considering my job.

Producer's of Vespa have lost their mind lately...horrible things like the bunny wabbit special .the nasty Beiber effort and now this ridiculous Micky mouse thing .hey if they want to make a special bring a px copy 300cc geared scooter to the table and watch them sell !

I don't think a geared px copy would sell well. It would definitely fare better than the Bieber or Disney models but these days the main reason that people ride scooters is because of the automatic transmission. A lot of modern scooter riders have never ridden a manual. Now if they brought out an auto PX copy I'd trade in my primavera 125 tomorrow!

In the UK, if you call something 'Mickey Mouse' it means cheap or crap. hopefully someone will tell Piaggio not call it by that name in the UK!!! I'm glad the PX range never got silly names!! 😆🛵
