Congratulations on the videos are top.... 😊C I wanted to ask you about my Et4 50 2001, I have hot start problems, if I did not accelerate slightly to a minimum not part, what could it be? The carburetor I cleaned 2 times in ultrasonic washing, the sleeves are all intact, and then in the opening sudden gas first I have a small vacuum, then it accelerates. Help me! Thank you.

Thanks for the very informative video. I just acquired a 2006 LX150 from my neighbor, sat in his garage for 3 years. Even after cleaning the idle jet, the scooter dies a minute later. And if I open the throttle,. it dies right away. Any clue? I plan to replace all hoses etc once I figure out if this is going to run.

Those screws at 10:23 strip easily because they're JIS screws, which are ever so slightly different than US Phillips screws. I like to replace them, and the JIS screws in the brake reservoir covers, with Allen heads. They're just not worth the strip risk - it's easier to carry a set of Allen drivers than a special JIS driver just for those dumb screws.

@@jamesconner3437I’ll tell you what I used on my scooter but you will still need to check for yourself for what will work on yours. Carb screws: M4-0.7-14mm. Brake reservoir screws: M4-0.7-12mm.

Hi Robot, I have a 2016 Vespa Primavera 50cc (70th edition) that’s been sitting for awhile. We replaced the spark plug and it’ll turn over but won’t start. I’m going to try cleaning the carburetor (once I verify my scooter even has one!). Thanks!

I bought a et4. On had 633 original mes. Lady said it sat for a year or 2. No gas in it when I bought it. Ran 2 tanks through it and now has 952 miles. Was running g great when I parked it. Went to get it out and started fine, choke kicked off now it won't run. It'll start but any amount t of throttle it just dies. Do you think the jet you cleaned on this scooter is my same problem. I just tore the carb apart and it has all kinds of gray/black particles in every part of the carb. I'm quite sure the particles are gummed up gasoline. Thanks in advance and scooterwest rocks. Thanks, Robot. Great video, as always. I couldn't quite make out what you said when you pulled the fuel line off the carb, but it sounded something like "good thing we know the fuel tap is working because it's not dumping out fuel". My 50cc Primavera sprays gas out like crazy when I remove the fuel line, and weirder still, when I remove the gas cap, it sounds like it sucks air in as though the tank is under vacuum. Do you, or anyone reading this, have any idea what could be going on?

You might have a blocked/stuck gas cap vent. Designed to let air in when fuel goes down. Google how to fix or replace, easy as

I’ve had my Vespa primevera since December 23rd and it was sitting for 3 years before I got it it runs for a few seconds if I leave it for a week or two and give it a kick idk what’s wrong with it the indicators or anthing don’t work anymoe like they did 2 months ago
