I remember in 1986, when Vesta Williams' 1st album came out, with the hit "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," and then in 1988 with her 2nd album with the hit, "Congratulations." That same year (1988), Etta James made a huge come-back with her album, "The 7-Year Itch." Vesta's weight was kind of "up there," and she would have been EXCELLENT to play Etta James in a Docu-Drama. Strong resemblance in features, and in VOICE as well. Vesta could have easily played Etta AND done her OWN singing, too! Back in the 1980s, I was so glad to be able to see their (respective) concerts. In 1988, Etta was 50, and Vesta was 31. These were two considerably overlooked talents in the Music Industry; they never received their the recognitions they so deserved while alive.
