Most maine coons are born perfectly healthy unfortunately from the way it seems he had some birth defects which caught up later down the road. He was my cat I adopted him and raised him this was something I didn't see coming that's for sure.

I hear you. My GS was diagnosed with EPI. His pancreas doesn't work well. He needs an enzyme powder that costs $275 per container. It lasts 6 weeks. He is also on prescription food that is $110 a bag. He's on a vitamin K and a probiotic. I'm not rich but I love this dog.

When it becomes difficult to heat your home and put food on the table at the same time, then the first thing to go is charitable donations. Also people are finding it impossible to pay for pet food and vet bills so are surrendering their animals at a much higher rate, it's sad.

I've cut down on food (choosing cheeper options for now). I could not make myself stop my monthly donations to charities, even though they are small. I keep getting the feeling that during times like these, just like you said, there's more living creatures (animals or humans) that need help :(

Most fhos are done one at a time to help one leg stabilize then do the other. The muscles tend to build up cartilage so the animal doesn’t suffer anymore. As for the knees, possibly can be done together. Learned a lot from Rocky Mountain vet and my studies

With almost three million subscribers and the revenue realized from YT and its advertisers, I am wondering why donations would be requested. I don’t know the amount paid by YT, but I have seen YTERS with far less than one million subs who have bought or built mansions, bought businesses, paid for college for their three or more children and they work only for their channel while doing all that. Don’t get me wrong, I love the work you do and wish you success, but I can’t understand why you would need donations.

Vet care is insanely expensive. The donations they are asking for are for the animals they rescue from shelters that they get no support for. This means everything from every member of the team that needs their salary paid for the work they do over that time, to the specialist treatments they quite often have to get - any surgery on an animal that requires a specialist surgeon runs to thousands of dollars. And that's without looking at the power costs, equipment costs, medicine costs and the costs just to have enough space for these animals to stay in their surgery. It's an incredibly complicated and expensive production and doesn't compare to youtubers who get who knows what other sponsorships from different companies building themselves mansions which they probably also borrow money to be able to afford.

They don't make the kind of money you seem to think they do on YT. First, if there's ever any blood/surgery scenes in their videos, they get demonetized (that was actually the first thing YT did that started causing major issues for this channel and that was years ago). Second, they do have almost 3M subs, but you need to look at the VIEWS, not the subs. YT doesn't pay them just for having a high sub count. (Vet Ranch also doesn't have sponsorship deals like a lot of these goofball KZbinrs who inexplicably make tons of money off brands by showing their product(s) in a video.) KZbin pays by the number of unique views AND that's also dependent on whether you skip the ads or watch the ads. If you watch the ads, they get pennies on the dollar for that view. The ONLY reason YT is worth it for Vet Ranch is to put out videos in the hopes of getting viewers like us to donate or become Patrons. And THAT money is what allows this team of amazing animal lovers to keep saving lives of innocent dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, rabbits, and all the rest. All this vet care is astronomically expensive, so I hope you will consider donating or becoming a patron. They all deserve our love and support.
