Veteran gives young diver a lesson in courage

Dylan Stich, 4, was having a hard time jumping off the diving board all summer. So when a 95-year-old veteran heard about it, he decided to show how it's done. Steve Hartman has their story "On The Road."

Weird to think when that boy is 90, him saying “ when I was a boy I met a WW2 veteran” will be the equivalent of a guy today saying “yea I met a civil war vet as a boy”. Time flies

Have a bad habit of calling them kids since I was raise with seniors by seniors and they act like it) told me just yesterday that I am from a different generation, and welcomed me to the new one. I was very please to be acknowledged among being with the generation I want to be from.

NO. If that child still needs those foam air supports, no diving.! Not until he knows how to swim a little, at least dog paddle, on his own. Those swim supports cause a lot of near deaths and deaths when a kid is in too deep water and somehow the supports come off. NO.
