I learned about these today! So cool! Thinking about getting one to get to work with instead of driving my truck all the time.

You should! They are life changing and extremely fun. If you work within 10-miles of home I think it's a reasonable expectation. Much further and the commute time will probably get bothersome.

Hello Jeff, just want to add some extra encouragement! Im an older rider & started in my fifties, & they surly are as Marty says life changing, not only do you learn an experience that is the closes thing to free flight, you'll meet all the other ppl who where, as you, inspired by it. It is by far the most exhilarating, habit forming, experience you'll ever pick up, all I can say is dont hesitate & get one asap, & never listen to nah sayers, only those experienced in this sport will give you truthful answers of the thrill your about to embark apon. Go For all the Gusto life has to offer Jeff & I guarantee you'll never look back. 😜👍

Some people have down that (San Diego riders) but from what I've seen they are unreliable and there's way too much fiddling around to get everyone connected together.

Seems to ride like a rocket on rails, so smooth and fast. Nice wide panoramic camera view, the scenery is spectacular. Just wondering, is the road closed to cars? Such a great long, sealed road. No center line markings, everyone riding the entire width of the road. Didn't see a single car, but some oncoming cyclists that were filmed. Look forward to reviews and thoughts when the suspension wheels arrive. Great style of vid.

This is an old ~25-mile mountain road that is closed half the year to car traffic, for various reasons. On this day the road was closed. It may be the most scenic ride for EUC's in all of Southern California

@@ElectricUnicycles Hi, there is a video by KingSong on youtube showing one of their factory technicians changing a EUC tyre. The video goes for 3mins, 14secs from start to finish, with no cuts or edits. The tyre is taken off and replaced, it is a VERY easy process when shown how to do it. The trick to not pinching the tube is to have it partially inflated before you stuff it into the tyre. Then press the tyre back into place with the handle of a hammer. Here is the link to it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioGXXo2na9iHiq8 KZbin tutorials from professionals, saves a lot of hassles, thanks.

What were other people riding during this? I might not invest in the Veteran Sherman due to cost but it would be nice to know which wheels can keep up like this.
@ElectricUnicycles4 жыл бұрын
All the wheels could keep up with this ride. But everyone had to recharge at the top for a couple of hours, with fast chargers. The Sherman did not. There were MSX's, MSP, Monster, KS18XL, and Nikola's.
@chato62104 жыл бұрын
Maybe you can bolt down a bracket at each end to the metal bars on the wheel so it's not touching the controls, nice flat surface to weld a chopped down bicycle seat poll then it's just pick a spring cushioned seat....POW! Spring suspension who? Shock absorber what? 🤣👍🥃
@JohnDoe-zl6qw4 жыл бұрын
And with the metal roll cage there's lots of mounting possibilities. I plan on attaching a mountain bike shock-absorbing seat post (spring built inside the tube), slap on a bike seat, and - voila! - shock absorption.
@jackvolta34894 жыл бұрын
@@JohnDoe-zl6qw awesome Idea John, love your creativity and if you know how to weld it's already in the bag : ) I'm going to leave you with a link, you may have seen it but it's definitely an inspiring picture: images.app.goo.gl/oGkxAQ1tVsdtpFLcA

Hey Marty I just bought a gotway msx 100v. 2200wh and it does what you said in your video, that oscillation of back and forward, do you think it may be the one with the bad firmware. And would you know how to correct it? it does it mainly on soft and medium setting not as much in hard mode.
@ElectricUnicycles4 жыл бұрын
It should be less noticeable in the non-hard modes. The MSX should be a wheel that when it's in hard mode the pedals are rock-hard and there is zero back-and-forth oscillation/movement. The only fix is to install a new control board with the good firmware. I assume you didn't buy it from a dealer in which case you'll have to buy a new control board.

Speaking of tire pressure, what PSI do you normally run on the MSX/MSP? Trying to get an idea where to start. Thanks!
@ElectricUnicycles4 жыл бұрын
Tire pressure is very personal. Generally, higher pressures will provide more agility at the expense of a more unstable (wobbles) ride. At a rider weight of ~180-pounds I would start at ~30-psi. I generally ride my MSX & MSP at the mid to high 20's.
@WilliamRozear4 жыл бұрын
@@ElectricUnicycles I was noticing that instability when I had the tire up around 40 psi for sure, I'll try lowering it and see if it helps, thanks!

what did you mean about the bad firmware version of the MSP?

The very early versions of the MSP had firmware that gave a very bad back & forward oscillation while riding
