The sad thing is, when this track came out it was immediately considered racist in Sweden. Simply because people ONLY heard the bad part of the lyrics like "The Reich Will Rise" etc and right away made the decision that the band was "nazi"... That's today's youth for you, spreading propaganda like a wildfire and almost killing Sabaton's career here in Sweden (and perhaps Europe). Luckily more sensible minds prevailed and now they are bloody heroes.

Also not all German soldiers were nazis. Since the wermqcht (I completely butchered that spelling but gave up trying to spell it at the top of my head lol) and the SS WERE NAZIS and those who ordered countless of deaths. The soldiers were just obeying orders that their officers commanded. Or else they would suffer same fate.

Attero Dominatus, is one of the most powerful sabaton songs, imho, and it really needs a good video for reaction, the Ghostdog one is nice, but the audio is a bit dated, there are a lot of videos that are not even related to the song, hope you find a good one, my pic for the song would be just the lyrics one, but thats just me, take care! be safe! cheers!

@@MrCN66 agree on the Hugstyggr video, but in a broader sense, the red glow could be off putting for some, and that could make V3t video get lost in the world of youtube, but i totally agree with you, for me that video is aesthetically pleasing in some ways, there where a video couple of years ago that was really good but it's gone now, so i guess there was something youtube did not like. There is a video made by someone named foxhole norman, but it has scenes from Untergang, and the game call of duty and that could be flaggd for dmca or other copyright stuff i guess. Cheers.

@@v3tReacts Yeah and the history behind it......Think on it...they should have classes in history just studying the whole Sabaton songlist. If the real history in all its grandeur or darkness isnt told or told only by political views then the world will learn nothing and we are all doomed to repeat the bad history. When i went to school in 80-90's pretty much every teacher was a communist. I live in Sweden so this is not a shocker. i wasnt interested in history until i realised that what we learned was a glorified version and sometimes even wrong history. Since then i became so interested in not only european history but pretty much everything and also american history :) that i knew more than my "teachers" at university. However my mind isnt made for schooling so i apart from history i detest study :). Btw Hitler wasnt a pow he got gassed in battle by mustard gas and spent time in hospital rehab until he could see again. Then he found out the war was over and got pissed. Hitler was arrested after the beer hall putsch were he and some political leaders forced a "coup" attempt to march against the german reichstag and he was shot and arrested. However this only made him more popular by rich people with connections and the working class people. I suggest you watch the movie the video is taken from :)

Just as a foot note. I am a British Army Veteran with, now well over 25 years service, After retiring, was employed as an Educational Officer at a Military Museum. Talking and showing Military history and reseaching local Heor who fought in both the 1st and those who served in the "nd World Wars, In my research came across a soldier who guarded Hitler when he was a POW. He befriended Hitler, and years after was sent the " Iron Cross" from Hitler and for years recieved a birthday card from him. He hid these iotems from the family. He had at the time told either feed him or shoot him. If he had a crystal ball.?

Great song. And I think there is one sing Sabaton should certainly cover. The "Great Purge". There is more than enough for an album. Just take famous victims, and groups of victims, starting to medics, to certain nationalities. And West telling that Stalin was bad, but, after all those executed and sent to GULAG were soviet nationals (except Western emigres, but they deserved it, didn't they?).

"Zigeuner" was the german word for "Gypsies" (considered a racial slur by many these days even tho it's still commonly used) and "Zeugen Jehovas" is "Jehovah's Witnesses" a christian sect. Also The movie "Rise of evil" is a brilliant movie but has big historical flaws and despite matching the lyrics of the song the video mostly showing moments from the pre 1933 era. The "nervous guy" (8:46) supposed to be the elderly and at that point sick german president Paul von Hindenburg who for the longest time opposited Hitler but over time got talked into the idea of making Hitler the Reichskanzler (Head of Government) to pacify the german society struggling with several reelections and violence between leftists and the nazis. Another reference that might be of interest to you is hitlers prison sentence following the Hitler-Ludendorff-Coup in September 1923 (you can see that by minute 7:07 & 10:20) where they tried to overthrow the bavarian government and further marching on Berlin, both failed miserably leading to a 5 year prison sentence (a relatively mild verdict) where Hitler wrote his infamous "Mein Kampf" and got pardoned after serving just 9 months of it.
