G'day Jade - Perthian in Sydney here. Sabaton have performed in front of 700,000 people at the 2012 Woodstock Poland - check out Uprising or 40:1. I think they also did "Cliffs of Gallipoli" at that show too.

Hey uprising is on my list to do next :) and 40:1 and 700,000 i would be so scared of that but i guess you get used to it in time .

@@jadeance yeah that Woodstock Festival live performance from 2012 when they play 40:1 are incredible! Another great Sabaton songs are The Lion From The North, Defence Of Moscow, Winged Hussars, The Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Great War and Soldier Of Heaven Too many great songs to mention them all. But everyone have their own special true story

This song is about the 30 years war (1618-1648) from a young swedish boys perspective, sent out to a war in foreign land fighting for something he barely understand. The 30 years war was a religious global conflict in Europe, considered by many historians as the actual First World War cause so many countries were involved. And it remains one of the longest and most brutal wars in human history, with more than 8 million casualties. Compare that to the population 400 years ago.. Its like the casaulties from both ww1 and ww2 in one single war. Totally crazy! Great reaction!

yet another piece of history i have never heard of , i assume in Sweden they are taught this at school? we get taught Vietnam, ww1 and ww2, Gallipoli and Korean wars basically wars England was involved in . i feel like ive missed out on alot tbh . thank you for explaining it to me

@@jadeance The 30 years war are an important part of Swedens history, so yes we get taught about it in school. But I can understand that someone on the other side of the world doesnt know much about it. Heck, I dont know anything about Australian history.
@jadeanceКүн бұрын
i find other countries history more interesting than Australian , we had no fights over our land or anything major like that and have always had a support role, we are a bunch of convicts that somehow survived in a country with everything that can kill you , that is basically Australians summed up. I believe that if we taught a bit of everyone history we might be able to under stand the struggles others have been through better
