Cam and Israel are back with another episode of War Wallet, where we test cheap vs. expensive tactical gloves. We have searched the market for a cheap pair of gloves that come in at a measly $13. We've also found an expensive set worth a whopping $180! All the different tactical gloves that we tested are somewhat identical in their purpose, but we've proven that the more expensive gloves offer more protection and stability. What cheap vs. expensive item should we test next?
#cheap #expensive #tactical

I recommend the Project Farm work glove video on KZbin as a complement to this one. That guy's testing process for durability is outstanding, better info than you can get from anyone in the business of selling gloves, although he doesn't test practical dexterity tasks like you guys do. Would love to see someone also test heat resistance (for hot barrels), cold insulation (for winter conditions), touch screen accuracy, and well as performance when wet. Bottom line is that you need different gloves for different conditions, but it's nice to see how they stack up in all these different scenarios.

Good vid, I really like 'tactical'-type gloves for everyday wear, and my favourites so far are the Rangeman gloves from Helikon-Tex. They give a very good, sleek fit to the fingers for dexterity but don't limit hand movement at all, and the palms and fingertips are made of kangaroo leather for durability. I've not used them for anything tough, and the backs of the hands are designed more for light weight and flexibility than protection (they're marketed as shooting gloves, so emphasize dexterity over protection), but they're very comfortable and lightweight, and look cool as an added bonus!

Glove Challenge: Tie down a Christmas tree to the roof of a car, with no rack or rails, with gloves on! That’s what I do every year back home and it is a bite to do. Usually, everyone takes off their gloves to tie on the trees, but I prefer the exact opposite. By the way, you really should have done a Kyle Test, especially since Izzy likes those knuckles so much! But seriously, try forming a striking fist with a glove and you quickly notice that your fist is harder to form when fully gloved. It really begs the question just how much gloves actually help in a general combat situation.

you should try wiley x hybrids. They are a different animal to the bulky paladin and I'm willing to bet that you would both prefer them to pretty much the whole list. They offer so much tactile feeling that you can do literally anything in them. They offer the nomex weave and also good knuckle protection. They are the most overlooked glove on the market. Probably because they are known for the very cumbersome paladin.

Good video Cam and Izzy. I like Oakley gloves and I typically ran with a pair of Oakley Assault Gloves as the knuckle guards could very easily double as hardened knuckles. If I were on patrol and didn't need the hard knuckle guards as much, I ran with a pair of Oakley work gloves that were pretty much like Mechanix work gloves but with added leather knuckle guards.

Very much on Camerons side there. For the past year or so I used the Ragnar Raids Valkyrie MK1's and I am pretty happy with it, beste ones I had so far for shooting. But like I said not that much of a glove person BUT these are about as light as you can get, so it doesn't get in the way. I don't remeber what I payed for them but it wasn't a fortune otherwise I would remeber lol. But yeah they are holding up pretty good even after a year of hard work.

It's hard when it comes to hands, because they're literally the most complex mechanical part of our bodies. They not only need to be durable but dexterous. I get you shouldn't skimp out, but it's really, _really_ hard to justify spending $100+ when it's not absolutely guaranteed to last a long time and make the money worth it. Basically its: - Durability - Dexterity - Cost And you choose 2. The most classic dilemma.

@@LeDiamondDog There is also another great brand that is a little pricey but better than the Mechanix, which is the PIG FDT (Full Dexterity Tactical) Alpha and Delta gloves, made by SKD Tactical. The Alpha is somewhat like Mechanix Original but a lot more dexterous and provides decent amount of padding, but if you like that form fitting factor without sacrificing flexibility, the Delta gloves are for you. A couple New Years Eve’s ago I decided to get myself a box of those little spinning ground bloomer fireworks to play with . I started lighting them and letting them cook off a little before tossing them in the air to let them spin in the air like I did as a kid, I was having a great time . Everything was going good until I accidentally tossed 1 STRAIGHT UP ⬆️ and obviously what goes up must come down. I remember looking straight up at it and 🤔 PHUCK and before I was even able to take my 2nd step the damn thing fell directly inside my phuckin shoe right by my heel. The thing was still spraying out colored flames as it was stuck to me. I went hopping away trying to get my shoe off but by that time the firework had melted both my sock and shoe to my foot. It phuckin sucked! I felt like I had a Halo plasma grenade stuck to me I was just thankful that I didn’t have the ones that explode after they get done spinning.
