If you like banging wedges get a pair of K&H triple taper’s, one of my personal favourite designs for second growth falling when you need a LOT of lift…. With them stacked you can get close to 4”… and because 1 side is flat they stack very nicely.

Big thing with that chipper is keeping the slide rails grease so the feed wheels can slide in and out.

Ol timer told me to keep the wedges from coming out like that was to heat them up in the truck and it would do that. It’s the cold that’s messing them up. I’m yet to try it but I will see.

The Stihl wedges are made of hard plastic. Id have to set them on fire to soften them up. 😂

My first tree job was 5 of these for $500 lol had to climb em because they were surrounded by wires whatever they were an a wooden fence. Took me a week to burn them bitches lol lesson learned.

Shocked in the difference. Pulls more from the legs than hips. After climbing with it a few times, I'm only going to use it when removing big trees carrying a big saw. It excels in that area.
