I've cut around power lines, both live a dead lines - my worst job was cutting trees off homes and cars and downed power lines - one house had 5 large trees laying on it and none of them were from his yard - a F4 tornado tore up the neighborhood

Yep. The lift made all the difference on this job. Makes me really consider buying one in the future. 🤷♂️
@troyerthedestroyerАй бұрын
@@VeteranTreeService As much as it comes in handy, I am not sure I would recommend purchasing one for your business model. I would say it makes up maybe a 5th of our work and when you have a ton of guys that makes sense because I am just throwing out a huge net to get as many jobs as possible. For the cost and for the cost of maintenance plus the headaches of rescheduling for long down times when it breaks down (at least once a year) it's simply not worth it and every time it takes a shit I come close to getting rid of it but when it boils down to it, I am responsible for many families and it provides work that I otherwise would not be getting. That job you did would have been even easier with a genie lift rental or tow behind rental. My advise is to factor in rentals or sub contracting for lift and crane jobs because they are only profitable in high volume.
