Loved your video! I'm a details guy and I'm a veto bag owner too. You can tell you're the real deal. Its motivates me when I hear a guy explain and go into detail about the specifics of his tools. I work by myself most times and love to hear input from other professionals. I don't believe in being cheap and good tools cost (most of the times.) Cool me a tool snob but when I see a self proclaimed pro pull his Ryobi SDS MAX rotary hammer! I'm like CMON man! ( no such tool exists!)

I work with my tools most of the days of my life - may as well use quality tools that you enjoy using and that make your work easier.

Great video fellow tradesman. I actually an electrician and also always have the 11/32 nut driver. The only difference is I use it for replacing light fixture ballast. The one nut that keeps the ballast in place is an 11/32. Thats about the only reason i keep that thing handy. You have a really niche set of contraptions!!

Thanks man. Good to know another use for the wild and mysterious 11/32's nut-driver.

I have been using Malco 1/4 x 5/16 nut drivers. You pull off the tip and flip it. Makes it easy to clean that magnet, I don't have to reach into the bag when they use both size screws on a unit, plus it is one tool instead of 2 in the bag. As an added bonus it unplugs from the handle and clicks into my 1/4" fuel. Also, I got a Klien stubby multi that I'm liking a lot. I am trying to lighten the load. Switching from 18v to 12v fuel was HUGE. Love my Knipex and NWS too.

That Malco bit is my daily 'go-to' still have all the cleanable DeWALT bits from 1/4" to 1/2", but usually keep those in my big bag - wish Malco would come out with a 3/8x7/16" pull-off bit next. Love the 12v brushless Impact - Only have 18volt for my hammer drill(also use it to swedge) and my Sawzall.

Really hate how the rain affects some tools. I try to keep mine well Taken care of especially since I have mostly Knipex for hand tools. You mat want to look at the very small Stabila Pocket Pro Magnetic for a small Level. Magnets are super strong and gives both dimensions level and Plum. Costs $20. Not bad for Stabila.
@scrambler350
@scrambler350 3 жыл бұрын
That's VERY reasonable for a Stabila. I think the quality of the steel has a LOT to do with how the finish of the tool holds up to moisture and surface rust. I wipe my tools down with Ballistol if/when they get rained on...or if they begin to develop surface rust.

I've just ordered a MCT to replace my MC, needed a bit more height to fit my new test meter in.
@scrambler350
@scrambler350 5 жыл бұрын
That's why I ended up switching to the MCT - so I could fit my FLUKE amp-meter inside the bag to protect it...with the MC, I was carrying my Fieldpiece 260 hanging off of the side.

Great vid man, I use the tech mct as my everyday bag and I do have a lot less in mine, I do residential heating and air conditioning, I tried using the TP4 but it just didn’t have enough room for me, the bag would be so stuffed you could barely see the bag itself lol, keep making vids man!
@scrambler350

Whatever works best for the way you work. Used to love using my MC(and then MCT) bag for every call and always have everything I needed plus the extras - but eventually got tired of lugging 30lbs around all day long and went to the 'Diagnostic Pouch' for the majority of calls. Today, for example, I used my MC Backpack...because I knew I was going to be changing out a 5hp blower motor and a pair of chill/hot water actuators and controls...so left the diagnostic bag hanging and brought out the big gun. Needed other tools, of course, but grabbed those as the day went on and toted them back and forth in my canvas bucket bag from Harbor Freight.

I hear you bro. Your tech mct doesn’t have to be 30 pounds though lol mine is like 20 and I never go back to the van besides to get parts after diagnosing, not saying you’re doing anything wrong bro I know how easy it is to over load these vetos! I got the tech pac backpack I find it too bad big unless I’m doing a full day job at one site Might get the mc backpack though to try it out for service calls but even that would still be over kill I bet
@nickboutin857
@nickboutin857 Жыл бұрын
I just got the mct for myself in Residential heating & cooling. I'm concerned that it's going to be too big for moving through attics & crawl spaces. Have you ever found it to be too big? I think I might trade in for the mc compact version.

I'm a tool fanatic, so thanks for sharing this. I am temped to buy this bag, I've checked out Veto bags used by other techs and simply love them. I'm in the process of figuring out what to do. I currently have a Klein bag, I like it but quality is no where near that of a Veto. Thanks again!

Bro, I got a Klein strap on my Veto Pro TP4, so don't worry, when Veto starts making individual straps, We'll start buying em! LOL
@scrambler350
@scrambler350 3 ай бұрын
I've tried to find another one of the Extra-Padded HUSKY straps and I don't think they make them anymore - sucks! As you said, VETO is leaving a lot of money on the table by not making a PREMIUM padded straps for their Premium bags - preferably very well padded ones - since it's easy to get 30 - 50lbs of tools in these bags.

Great video,all need is some smart probes for that bag
@scrambler350
@scrambler350 5 жыл бұрын
Steve, I picked-up a set of the Testo Smart probes a few months ago, and was HOPING there would be room for them in the Tech-Pac MC, but the top pockets are too small and too high-set in the bag for the probes/clamps to fit well - which sucks. May carry them in a separate tool pouch style bag and attach them with a d-ring if I start using them on the job - so far I've only used them on my personal systems and on a couple of off-season maint. checks when it wasn't a busy day.

Veto bags are definitely a 'get what you pay for' product, but the less expensive options have their place in the market too - not everyone out there working is single and can just go out and blow Two or Three hundred bucks on a tool bag...but, if you can, it's awesome that we have a company like Veto putting out high quality bags like these for us. Will check out that second video here in a few.
