Great video Terry, from what I have had experienced over the years with Snowmobiles and ATVS the torsional springs (your original type with the tangs) are directional only, Used in golf carts that run backwards in reverse mode. but the compression type (red one in your vid) are bi-directional. In other words you can use a compression spring in either application but you must use the correct spring in the 2 stroke reversing rotation application. Whatever works and keeps Sam happy is great.
@wtbm1232 жыл бұрын
Yes bi directional . but i think if i did it again i would just line the ramps in the middle as they do not seem to do anything now
@TrashPanda717 ай бұрын
@@wtbm123 The clutch ramps ? Do you mean they don't allow the clutch to open up when driving ? Seem to work while in service mode when you tested it.

@wtbm123 I am installing that very clutch shortly and put the power spring on it, starting to rethink that now.
@wtbm1237 ай бұрын
@@TrashPanda71 If putting it on an older cart , pretty much need the power spring because of the direction of rotation . Or maybe use your old spring .

@@wtbm123 I rigged up a 2x4 block with a chunk cut out then wrestled a couple of c-clamps around the whole mess to compress the spring. I had safety glasses on and left a note for my next of kin in case things went bad. I have all the stuff in the shop to duplicate your setup, next time!

El power spring no le hace nada solo te frena más el motor pero el torque sigue siendo igual que el de frabrica
@joelswift3974 Жыл бұрын
What effects did the power spring have on your torque up hills, and your overall top speed?
@wtbm123 Жыл бұрын
It may of slowed the top speed slightly . It does seem to get to that speed quicker maybe .It did help on hills slightly . What i notice the most is braking , You have to learn not to just let off the throttle or it stops fast . I rarely use the brake now .

Great video. How did that Vevor clutch last ? Thinking of using the same clutch as a replacement in my golf cart and would love to hear how it worked out ! Thanks for putting out great content and helpful videos.

Con el power spring te corre menos y tiene el mismo torque que el de fabrica ya yo le hice la prueba
