It's almost criminal how little subscribers you have. Videos like this are exactly what airsofters need. They show the quality of the products involved, give guides on what to improve and why, give several alternatives for types of upgrades with proper argumentation, and actually show how thoroughly items are tested. This format should work a lot better than the kids that just show a gun they bought 2 days ago and immediately claim their performance, accuracy and longevity are excellent, but sadly it's not what the dumb masses want. You earned my subscription today, and I normally don't subscribe to airsoft channels ( basically the only other channel I follow is Negative airsoft, for the same reasons mentioned above).

"i just got my gun and its the best gunz in da world because its an M4 and its made by G and G and its a combat machine and it has lots of rails for all your accesories like flashlight and bypots and lazors and grips, its also really good beacuse it shoots super fast on .2 gram bbs and has good battery life, i am running a 20 volt lipo from my electric scooter and i get lots of bbs shot during a whole day of playing in my backyard with my friends who are super tough and also think this is the best gun ever and are super jealous that my parents bought it for me." Have to love that pot metal is being used on a $600 airsoft rifle. Just shows that companies will cut corners as much as they can and make things cheap instead of high quality.

This is the review I have been waiting for. You answered a lot of questions, but solidified what I have been saying to myself in my little garage these past two weeks. This thing is excellent. I got mine in the States, so I got the orange tip. I ended up going onto DSA and ordering a Belgian flashider. Looks perfect, threads on perfect! I dislike the furniture, and will be upgrading to DSA furniture. It’s really awesome that DSA is based in the states and specializes in FN FAL variants, which makes this VFC so sick. Onto the rocket valve and internals, god. Thank you for specifying. I now can run this at my local field on .32’s. Overall, this thing is wicked expensive but by far to date this is probably the coolest airsoft gas rifle ever released. Thank you for your time and effort to do this video, it’s beyond helpful for myself and who knows else that is searching for info on this rifle. I have been running mine with the buffer, but I will be removing it and thanks for saying so, because it does cycle the traditional 600 or so RPM with it removed

Man I wish they would do an AK too. Pretty sure they already make an AEG AK body for Cyma (CM.040, CM.045 and CM.048) The only other options are GHK, who have absolutely terrible quality control, so buying from them is like gambling your money away, Tokyo Marui, whose AK has plastic furniture and a zinc alloy (if I remember correctly) receiver instead of a steel one. Although the TM one does perform well I've heard. And then WE, who has a very low amount of aftermarket support for their AK when compared to GHK and probably Tokyo Marui as well now. At least externally

Love the video mate, watched it maybe 20 times before mine arrived. Slapped some real plastic furniture on it, changed both the pot metal barrel section and gas tube to the steel versions by DNA (reccomend) and modified it with some of your reccomendations and some of my own little fixes, love it to bits but man I wish metric wood furniture existed in the UK, or even was just able to be shipped here, my 60s kit just don't feel right with plastic😂 thanks for such an extensive and informative video! I just picked up a VFC SCAR this last month, and it's really interesting to see the similarity between the trigger groups. Makes a lot of sense, with them both being FN guns, but hey. They also use a very similar hopup setup, except on the SCAR you have to hammer off that collar/cradle from the hop chamber, which I had to do twice after finding out maple leaf rubbers can't hold BBs in the SCAR chamber due to lack of pressure.

😮😮OMG, what a video!! This to me at least is more like a documentary, rather than a video, as it is professionally made in ALL ways, and with a knowledge of everything that composes and surrounds the rifle... It was to me, much more than a secondary school teaching, much close to a college class...!! Uau! Now: someday I will recreate an airsoft, or 4,5mm replicas of the H&K G-3, AR-10, and the F.N.(FAL) this country used in our ex colonial war (1961-1975). And now I have information s from where to start. It will be a long way, but now I am a little more confident... A million thanks to all that turned out this video possible, and brought it here. Hi, EE team. I’d watched your VDO like 10 times before I decided to pick the VFC LAR up and another 10 more times afterward when I performed troubleshooting. Mine shot well for like 4 mags till malfunctions like mis feeding double feeding, just to name a few, started to occurring which is annoying. That said, it is the only gas FAL in the market today so no point in complaining. I think I have one good reason to keep the plastic short-stroking piece in the gun which is to prolong the life of the bolt hold open mechanism. The piece shorten the distance between the end of bolt travel and the location of the bolt hold open device which translate to softer impact due to the bolt is still slow. Every mod you mentioned appears to be necessary in order to keep the gun running as I did all of them and further. I also want to add to the importance of the out-of-battery safety piece as it keeps the hammer down while the bolt is reciprocating. In my case, the bolt is dragged by the hammer during cycle due to spring that keep the out-of-battery safety piece appears to not have enough force to engage the hammer.
@ExplosiveEnterprises2 жыл бұрын
Misfeeding is always troublesome to deal with. See if you can record the gun cycling in slow-motion, as that's an easy way to diagnose nozzle behavior issues during the cycle. Good point about the bolt-hold-open too; we're tracking that piece specifically for wear, but we're not especially worried just because the recoil spring is fairly soft. And lastly, we suggest checking your out-of-battery safety (auto sear) to ensure that its engagement surface is sharp, as well as the corresponding surface on the hammer. If both are sharp and it really is just insufficient tension, then bending the torsion spring may help to achieve reliable operation. Hope you get it sorted.

Excellent review. In the knealing position you can hold the bottom of the mag instead of the stock. Yes, original very heavy, especially when marching down the mall to buck palace

As one who has this replica, I caution anyone who removes the plastic pace that shortens the travel of the bolt as the rear sight mounting point is aluminum and will break like mine has. doesn't hinder performance but something to be cautious of. also the gas tube threads towards the front that secure it to the front sight will break due to recoil. hope this helps anyone who needs to know.

the only thing i worry about with taking out the short stroke buffer is the potential to damage the bolt stop. correct me if im wrong but since it has more room to travel i would imagine it would hit the bolt stop with more force than usual which it might not be good in the long term.

Looking at how similar it is to the real thing, I wonder if you could take the trigger pack from a real FAL and toss it on with minimal/no fitting required.

We believe it would fit with no significant modification besides trimming down the reinforcement/blocker tab at the front of the trigger housing. However, it would require swapping over at least the hammer and recoil springs in order to cycle and avoid damage to the airsoft internals.

Excellent overview, I'm loving mine this far. And yes I'm going deaf. The outer barrel thing is going to become an increasing issue due to recent Taiwanese legal problems and the perennial problems with local legislature and law enforcement here trying to score points by claiming all the real steel shootings are as a result of "converted toy guns with metal parts." 🤔🙄 Watch this space for more on that I guess... That is my problem with the airsoft industry right now, there is an ungodly amount of M4's releases but very few new models, it's telling that still today we are waiting for an Sks replica, I myself am patiently waiting for them to bring the Parafal back, but to do this day (22/09/22) no sign of that. I as a collector of airsoft replicas and player can affirm that through all the years it has become very difficult to collect different replicas, as well as pay a fair price for them, gone are the days where you could buy a fal or an AUG for the same price as an M4, and this sucks. I wish the market started investing in new replicas, instead of re-releasing the same replica over and over again, I know that it sells, but unfortunately, this kills the variety of the sport.

Does the shortstroke buffer help with cold weather performance at all or is it such a marginal difference that it doesn't matter?
@ExplosiveEnterprises2 жыл бұрын
To be absolutely clear, it makes no impact whatsoever to performance on the FAL, and on most guns using a short-stroke buffer actually reduces efficiency (by pre-compressing the recoil spring). We're not sure where the myth got started that short-stroking a gun makes it more efficient, but that's not how GBBs work.

@peter112562 жыл бұрын
Awesome review! As an AEG user that would love to switch to GBBRs, the only gripe I have with it is the mags capacity, while it adds realism I feel it also handicaps me too much in games. Modern GBBRs seems to hold enough gas for at least 2 full mag reloads (more in this case). Do you know if is this a design limitation, or can GBBR mags capacity be tweaked by change the mag spring or something of the sorts.. ?
@ExplosiveEnterprises2 жыл бұрын
On most GBBs, the BBs form a stack along the front of the magazine, with the gas reservoir right behind, so the capacity is limited to what can fit in that stack. There are some GBB mags where the BB stack will actually curve under the reservoir and follow the baseplate, allowing a bit higher capacity, but they often have feed issues. Our resident GBBR enthusiast has historically more typically used AEG machine guns, so we definitely understand the hesitation about ammo capacity- but we find that with a good hop-up and properly adjusted sights, it isn't necessary to shoot nearly as much to score a hit, and then the lower capacity of gas mags becomes manageable. Bring along a can of gas, a speedloader, and an appropriate speedloader adapter (we're fans of the ComradeQuiche designs), and then you can reload on the field as well.
