You forgot mentioning Clarisse , Terragen and Mari . Like Nuke , they are also free for non commercial use - I think they should have been mentioned as well. Many people might use them for their portfolio or to get a job.

Ever since I was 5 I had this movie franchise in mind with my toys, I'm 17 now over the years I've Tweaked and altered the movie and I'm genuinely Confident this Story I've written could be on par with The Attack on a Titan Series and Even something Netflix would pick up, But obviously I'm not ignorant and I know the odds of ever getting a theatrical release are Basically 0 so I want to get into 3D Design and Animation so at the very least I can render them in Complete CGI. The only other thing I would have to do is Find Actors and someone could who I could pay to Essentially Create the Soundtrack for the movie.

Thanks! I guess it depends what do you want to use it for. There's many possible applications for Unreal Engine in VFX, and many studios are preparing to adopt it into their pipelines. In time, I think, it will take over some areas of VFX.

i like so much videos about software recomendations but all the software in this video are very famous, and talk about Blender in every section is......well, would be great if you talk about software less famous like OpenColorIO, and not just say the name else show a little how OpenColorIO works!

Well OpenColorIO is not a stand-alone software. It's more of a workflow tool, integrated into other programs. But definitely an important tool. I agree that most of the mentioned programs are known, but it would be difficult to find unknownw software capable of delivering professional quality, and being free at the same time :) Check out the second part of this video - pipeline tools - maybe you'll find some new software there. Python - a lot of the VFX software is using Python, so most pipelines are also handled with this programming language. You can also automate stuff or create custom functionality with Python in Nuke or Blender.

Operating system doesn't matter, but as mentioned in the video, a lot of companies are working on Linux.

Python can be important for senior Nuke compositors. If you're starting to learn Nuke, focus on compositing, not on programming.
