Wouldn't be possible in Crash 1 or Crash 2: Crash 1 has some mandatory box jumping puzzles to progress (specifically Castle Machinery, the only way to bypass it would be via the Green Gem which is unobtainable in a boxless run), whereas the Polar levels in Crash 2 feature some TNTs on an auto-timer that are impossible to pass without crates being added to your counte and thus being broken. Crash 3 might work, if you don't count the Triceratops breaking boxes for you in the Prehistoric levels.

if its like a trilogy(or longer like Kingdom Hearts), then I don't mind them being spaced out. If it was like Splatoon, where there are only two games, I would prefer back to back videos. I generally prefer longer videos, I find them to be more rewatchable and interesting. But I don't want them stretch out if you can't make it interesting to cover for a long time. Hope my opinion provides a good perspective.

These videos are awesome, and since you asked for criticism... I personally like the longer videos. The one problem I have with this one, is it just seemed like it was too easy. Which is not your fault, I mean, the game kind of just made it easy for you, beyond the one part you had to be glitchy. I like how the others were more difficult, and more in-depth. Maybe find some more obscure games to challenge yourself with, or try even more niche ideas. Play Monster Hunter without upgrading, or Yugioh World Championship without buying cards. The limited runs are really cool, but the added challenge doesn't have to be not pressing a button. Just, maybe consider looking at VG Myths from a new perspective. In any case, I love your videos, and I'll watch whatever you put up! Those are just my two bolts/cents/zenny/coins/etc.

I prefer the longer videos, not terribly long, but longer than this. And when it comes to sequels, usually the games will have similar glitches (+ or - a few) and thus it's easy to figure out some of the tactics that'll be used. So sequels can be spaced out, in my opinion.

Can you beat Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back without killing any enemies? The rules: Crash must NOT kill ANY enemies by himself: If a lizard gets crushed by the bear in Un-Bearable, then that's on the bear and not Crash. Bosses can be fought normally, because you don't actually KILL any of them since they all come back in future games completely healthy. While Crash 1 would be flat-out impossible due to levels like Slippery Climb, the ruin levels and Lights Out using enemies as mandatory platforms, and Crash 3 would require you to kill some of the carpet enemies during the hanging sections in the Arabian levels to get past them, Crash 2 I think would be perfectly doable. The only potential roadblocks I can think of are the pits in Turtle Woods and The Pits, the spinning fans in Sewer or Later, the gorillas in Road to Ruin and Ruination, the shielded Lab Assistants in Piston it Away and Spaced Out, the electrobots used as platforms in these same levels (only appear in the completely optional Death and Gem Routes) and the Electrocuted Lab Assistants in the jetpack levels. And every single one of those has a potential way to get around them, which I won't spoil here so Gamechamp can figure them out for himself ;P

The New Super Mario Bros Wii Don't Get a Life Challenge: In this run you must beat the game with ever increasing your life counter regardless of the means. If you do get a life or game over, you wipe your file. While you don't have to worry about accidentally grabbing a 1-up or chaining too many jumps, every coin you collect pushes you closer to the end and there are a lot of coins. The other, more obvious, obstacle of this run that will make it brutal is that those 5 lives you start are all you've got. Bonus challenge: skip as few worlds as possible with the cannons. Interested?

But the stakes are higher than a coinless run since you can't just reset a level when you touch a coin. Every coin you touch is there to stay until a full reset. This is hard in a whole different way.

This series is one of my newest favorites! I love how informative and funny they are. Heres some of my ideas for VG myths! -Can you beat Kingdom Hearts using only magic/no keyblade? (Summons that don't use the keyblade are allowed, I.E Dumbo. For bonus challenge perhaps prevent using the keyblade at all, thus, no chest opening?) -Can you beat Earthbound without hitting anything? (Seeing as the final boss dies via an action command rather than a direct hit, i thought this one might be interesting. EB also has quite a few fancy out of bounds tricks so you can probably get creative!) -Can you beat Yoshi's Island without your tongue? (Only restocking your eggs at spitting plants or egg blocks... Probably not as hard as it sounds) -Can you beat Cave Story without the polar star? (No clue if this ones possible whatsoever, but it would make for an interesting video!)

Since you have access to first person mode throwing of the wrench, that means you can use it to glitch into way more places and avoid a lot of fights simply by sing the wrench glitch to get everywhere. Each time you throw the wrench in first person you gain a little height and you can use this even on ceilings to keep latched to them if you spam the wrench button hard enough while moving.

You need to use flames to beat a lot of bosses throughout the original trilogy. Spyro 2 and 3 are for sure impossible. 1 I'm only pretty sure you need fire to beat Gnasty Gnorc.

You could try beating the original Paper Mario with a variety of challenges. No partners at all In battle or overworld use. No Mario in battle. No partners use in overworld. No partner use in battle. Besides moving no overworld use of Mario (this would be puzzles like no hitting switches with hammers or hitting blocks to jump on them. A simple no jump run of the game as well cause there is an in game jump counter in Mario's house.

It's been a while since I've played it, but I think the partners' abilities are required to navigate several places, so no partner use in the overworld would require lots of glitch abuse I'm guessing. It would therefore be an awesome challenge to watch if it's possible.

Heres a REAL challenge, 100% Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door without leveling up! Though feasibly this is essentially impossible, as star points scale based on your level, even if you never battled any option (read field opponents) by choice, the forced encounters alone would force you to level up at least once by the time you beat Hooktail. Instead all level ups will be applied to badge points, but you will only ever use 3 badge points at a time to simulate being level one, instead the challenge is to beat every single possible field opponent in every area of the game without ever leveling anything but badge points, as well as never using more then 3 badge points. The real crux of this entire run is going to be mass acquisition of life shrooms and mastery of Super Guards, for if you perfect super guards literally nothing in the game can harm you. That being said, Super Guards only have a three frame window of opportunity to actually succeed, meaning mastery of around 80 enemies timings between all of their various attacks, so efficient grinding of currency for life shrooms will be almost mandatory. You have to be insanely good to pull this kind of nonsense off.

I just want to tell you how awesome you and your videos are. No matter if it's a VG Myth or something else, you're always incredible entertaining and interesting to watch. Thank you for these incredible videos! Anyway, you asked for constructive criticism for this different kind of VG Myth. Honestly, I do prefer longer vids, but I know that these runs take serious skill and time to do, so I understand if you want to do smaller challenges here and there. Plus, not every challenge needs a long video, so the ability to do shorter ones opens up your options. Maybe you should make these a mini series called Mini-Myths or something so that people don't click expecting longer videos and being disappointed at the short length (I know that sounds like a dig at you, it's not, I swear!) As far as series saturation goes, I don't care either way. You could do 10 Ratchet and Clank videos in a row or only do one every 100 years. Your content is always great, so it doesn't matter to me!

The answer is probably 'yes'. There are only two places where you might have any problems and those are 1-1 (Welcome to Mafia Town) and 1-2 (Barrel Battle) since the mafia men you need to kill will become invincible if you repeat the same attack on them... but as long as I'm remembering correctly that state doesn't trigger if you only use homing attacks on them. As for the Barrel Battle boss, he might have too much HP to avoid his invulnerability triggering even with homing attacks. I'll have to test this.

So it turns out that the mafia don't become invulnerable to any attack except being whacked with the umbrella, meaning you can stomp/homing attack/brewing hat to kill all instances of them blocking your progress (1-1, 1-2 and 1-4, as it happens.) After that, it's completely plain sailing! The only levels you can't pick up the time pieces for, as far as I can see, are 1-6 (Heating Up Mafia Town) and 2-5 (The Big Parade) where you have to hit faucets/dials with your umbrella, and then of course any time pieces locked behind those ones.

No you cannot for the same reason you cannot beat the game w/o collecting pons: you need the grapple to beat the game. The grapple hook is an umbrella ability.

It's not so much a question of "Should I make the video about this run short or long?", it's a question of "Should I make a short video about this run?" Going Commando wrench-only doesn't have enough talking points for me to justify spending 10 minutes on it; This video is precisely the length I felt necessary. If I made it a rule that videos had to be ten minutes long, this video would not exist - I would either combine the run with Up Your Arsenal (which I'd averse to since it would make things more disorganized) or simply scrap the entire project once it becomes apparent the script is short.

You would be correct as you must press B to finish Ganon, BUT, It instantly goes into a cutscene. Therefore we could say that we never swung our sword in gameplay, so it's perfectly possible. I went over the exact route in his Mario video as a comment, might need to find that.

I like the idea of the Ty the Tasmanian tiger run without using boomerangs, but it's impossible in the final battle. Maybe do Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3 without throwing a single boomerang? if you're close enough to enemies in that game, all Boomerang attacks become melee attacks, so you could use the effects of certain rings, without chucking one. I'm sure there are switches he still need to hit though, probably still pretty impossible.

Would dropping a weapon count as breaking it? If so, I'm betting not, even if you collect a boatload of korok poops before raiding the castle for weapons and fighting Ganon. Otherwise, it should be easy to do a fast or even full clear without breaking anything.

@@StopChangingUsernamesKZbin Well, technically, getting the bombs makes saving on inventory space completely possible, in theory. Use the parts from a shield-deflected turret guardian in Hateno village to upgrade them, get the hearts necessary for the Master Sword, and sneak into the castle to get as many Royal or Royal Guard weapons as possible. From there, challenge Ganon as per usual.

It may be possible to do the divine beasts, though the actual benefits of this compared to fighting Ganon at full power are questionable at best. Getting the lightning storm, on the other hand, could be _very_ worth your while. This makes even a club you picked up at the beginning of the game able to attack well. Getting the boost from Heroes' Ballad for this may be worth your while too.

Honestly I prefer the longer videos as it feels more packed and gives the viewer a more filling experience while not being too stuffed or drawn out. As for the time laps between sequel games, 2 videos doesn't sound like a lot on paper but feels like more than enough time and having 2 video in between might make it look nice in the VG Myth playlist, (in case you can't tell my opinion on the time laps is kinda all over the place). Also I didn't say it in the last Ratchet and Clank game but "You absolute mad lad! I'm liking this video and all of its sequels just on the fact that you accomplished this".

+Cirom Breeze You don't need any pons to directly buy the grappling hook, but you do unintentionally raise a good point. Some levels that are required to complete the game are locked behind paywalls, which you _need_ pons to unlock.

I think the crowbar gets taken away from you during the final segment when you have to use the Upgraded Gravity Gun to get anything done. So I'd say only Crowbar/Gravity Gun/Vehicle Turret run.

As far as the length, I can't really speak to it, since I haven't played Ratchet and Clank, but I know I really enjoy the longer videos fraught with difficulty to overcome. This one felt very "easy, done". That said, breaking up the big videos with smaller ones isn't a bad idea!
