Thank you so much for uploading this video! At 6:56 the Markku Alen roll over - me and my folks were about two corners away from that, we didn't see it but we heard the crowd all cheering, had no idea what happened until the Rally Report was on the tv. I was 11 then, I'm 45 now and it's the first time I've seen it since! A golden age, I remember it like it was yesterday, thank you for uploading this! Great stuff.

The 1987 Lombard RAC was the first rally I went too at the tender age of 9. I went with my Dad all the way to Castle-owerri in Scotland and then drove back south to Grizedale in the lakes. So amazing seeing and hearing these machines that scared the shit out of me, totally awesome 👌

Didn't know that Eklund had been canned! Wonder what the irregularities were with his engine? Turbo restrictor that wasn't doing much restricting maybe? Also...didn't Mats Jonsson have a tyre named for him by Colway round about then? I've been wondering if I just dreamed that, or if the 'MJo' really existed!
