Camile did not approve of her grand niece's lover because she was a Zaunite lol. Also... I think Camile was the sheriff who made both Vi and Powder an orphan during Vander riot against topsider. In a way Caitlyn family was responsible for the death of Vi family and after arcane ss1 the score was settled by having Jinx taking out Caitlyn family.

Some of those aways hitted hard even before Arcane, I aways felt like riot was cooking some lore update for her waaay before arcane was a thing, when we would finally have an idea of how she came to be with cait on the cops and what she was planning there, if she would end up back in Zaun after failling (multiple ways of that happening since multiple reasons), and we would get a Zaunite Vi lore skin, finally voice lines updates too! (specially after Gangplank deaths event). But that never came out and was so disappointing, it still is a bit even tho Arcane

Um,is that really a question? Vi used to hate the enforcers (and Piltover as a whole), her parents were killed by them. And now she IS an enforcers, using her strength against zaunites And not only that - she's in relationship with another enforcer, quite rich and priveleged. Such behavior is hypocritical, to say the least, no wonder zaunites dislike her.

In the game Camille's clan is like one of the major politicians and stringpullers in piltover. Much like who Ambessa and Mel are in arcane. The war that killed Vi and Jinx's parents must have something to do with clan Ferros, particularly their control of hextech

The thing about Vi is she’s not fighting against Zaun, she’s fighting against the chem-barons who control Zaun. In the show she becomes outraged when the council starts talking about making peace with Silco, because in her mind a Zaun controlled by Piltover (as terrible as that was) is still preferable to a Zaun controlled by a collection of drug kingpins. Season Two hasn’t come out yet so I may be wrong, but I’m guessing she joins the police because she thinks it’s the best way for her to fight her enemies.
