I'm brand new to violins and this was great! Thank you! What I'm looking for is one I can use headphones with (hubs works swing) and play without them! I dunno! This was a great intro!!

ONE OF HTE BEST VIDEROS YET! I LIKED HEARING ALL THE FIDDLES. ONE ONE NOTE MAYBE MAKE THE NAME BANNER SMALLER OR GO AWAY SO WE CAN SEE MORE OF WHATS GOING ON

All violins and all guys are right-handed today, not as on FB some day ago ;-). Regarding the YEV 104/105 violin: I recommend to replace the origin Zyex rubber-band-feeling strings (changes tone when you press hard high up the neck) with steel-strings. I now use Prim green strings and the response and intonation improved a lot :-)

Believe it or not, I'm left handed. But, I do play the violin normally. ;) I do like the prim green strings for playing cross-tuned fiddle tunes because they adjust really quickly to the change in pitch, AND they respond really fast - which I would expect makes them great for playing electric.

Really enjoying this video, the NS with frets is great. Who would have thought you could still slide. As for midi violins, simply best to not go there, hahaha.

I spent some time playing with the midi violins after we went off the air, and they are pretty dang fun!

I don't play with frets, but having played once with frets, I gotta admit fretted violins make playing with others so way way way easier.

Wow what an educational video!! So so informative, brilliant playing ( omg to just change violins and play up a storm) and the rapport between you too is 💯! I love the honest feedback on the instruments. Also heading over to your webpage, I’m in dire need of help with bluegrass fiddling! Electric violin thanks for your feedback on my questions so far. Great job guys!

Hi guys...i like your video...and watched your demos on violins etc. However, I play quite a bit of jazz on it 'live' and as a Londoner, I bought an RSA Truevoice acoustic guitar pickup in Tottenham Court Road some 30 years ago, and by definition, it gives a 'True violin sound. My fiddle is a Yamaha, and a good one and I use a couple of elastic band holding it on the underside and as i say, I achieve a full sound. I have tried various electric fiddles but to me, they move away from the intended voice as expertly made 100's of years ago. Perhaps for 'Rock etc they may be fine.

Love the interaction of the guys lots of fun personalities both of them. Really enjoyable to get to hear so many different violins played. Always watching your videos it’s like the number one thing I think everyone’s always wanted to just start taking all the violins off the wall and playing them. Did find the guy talking in the background off camera at times a bit distracting. But I know you got a run a business.

is the carbon bow louder than the classic bow? thank you
@ElectricViolinShop4 жыл бұрын
It would depend on the carbon bow and the wood bow you were comparing. In general, I'd say "not really".
