How to Terminate and Polish a Fiber Optic Connector

I had a pretty good idea what terminating a FO cable is all about, and this video adds more information the precision and the minute dimensions involves. This helps me decide for a DIY simple network, the best choice is to use pre-terminated cable. Most other FO videos are very inadequate and dumbed down. It is far from rocket science, but requires some skills and knowledge and learning to DIY.

The simple and best way has been used for the presentation but now a days most of the brand providing one step termination Kit .not require any kind of Adhesive or polishing . just take measurement of fiber how long it need to strip and cleave the exact length and insert to connector kit and fasten the back bush . and test with your VFL or OTDR .

Do you not find cleaning with IPA and a lint free tissue leaves behind debris? I am having a lot of difficulty ensuring the fiber end face is absolutely clean after sanding with 1 um paper. There are always tiny black particles left behind : (

There are wipers of tissue especially made for optical fibers, you can use them
