It’s weird because I never have been a massive fan of Mark Noble but that’s because we’ve never gotten to see an insight into his life and him as a person. Hearing the way he speaks and seeing how compassionate & respectful he is has really been an eye opener. The bit about leaving the changing rooms clean just showed the man he is. Absolutely top top professional. We definitely need more like him in the game. And as always, superb job by Rio, Steve and Joel!

As a city fan one moment sticks in my head in 2015/2016 season at the Etihad West ham were leading 2-1 in the last minutes jenkinson was laying in ground , but mark just put him on his feet and said to him stop wasting time go and do the throw in , this is shame no England manager gave him a chance

"If I went and played for Ireland, maybe I might take away a place from a Centre midfield player (who is Irish) that dreams about playing for Ireland, and that just didn't sit right with me" Loved hearing his thoughts on that, as an Irish fan - There is sometimes this clamour for our national team to get those players that never made it into the England team but at the end of the day International football is about playing for the country that you dreamed about playing for as a kid - How many unforgettable, once in a lifetime moments would be taken away from players if we were to fill the team with people who qualify, but it was never their ambition to play for Ireland? (It's a different thing if they had that connection and always wanted to of course, they'd be welcomed with open arms!) Mark's a great guy anyway, loved this one lads!

@@jdoublet94 as far as I'm aware the reason he doesn't want Declan Rice is the price. It would totally destroy our transfer budget and we probably need more than one signing in the summer. If we buy Rice then that's our business done.
@jdoublet942 жыл бұрын
@@StuEdB true, he’s said numerous times that he’d prefer Tielemans and Neves over Rice which I can’t get my head around; it’s about quality at the very top level, not quantity. Tielemans and Neves have both proved to be good PL players but not the best out there. Rice’s stats this season alone are better than Rodri, Fabinho and Kante. He’s different class, and the youngest out there. We have Bruno in the midfield who’s proved he’s among the best and between McTominay/Garner/De Beek, I’m sure we can find a partner for Dec who can compliment him and take him to even higher levels

The future is exciting for West Ham but really sad that an era will die at the end of the season. God bless you Nobes.

It really hasn’t sunk in that it’s his last season for us. It’s going to feel so weird come next season and he’s not there. West Ham needs him to come back even if it’s just to be around the place because he is Mr West Ham.
