My favorite Go Betweens recording of them all, this 4-song performance.

Wow... I bought Lee Remick on release day and loved the band until I lost touch as they went a bit soft mid-career... but I've never heard this... absolutely FANTASTIC

I liked that version of Five Words more than the glossy album version. The beat, the rhythm, it's just slightly different here and I like it better.

I preferred this earlier lineup ..I didm't mind Amanda later joining, however the bassist Rob Vickers i 've always thought was better than Willsteed

Obscure to most in this country including me - first heard of them in the 2010's -they embody the sound of the 1980's to me nevertheless. Intelligent pop music certainly. Very weird sometimes.

Raisinstudio138 they came out of Brisbane at a time of upheaval with the state govt at the time cracking down in live music performances..The Go Betweens,The Saints,The Riptides all came to Sydney and the Go Betweens resided in Ivy St Chippendale...The Triffids were their brothers in arms, so to speak and they remain two of the most influential Australian bands to date.
