“H” is pronounced “aich”, with the “ai” part sounding the same way the “ei” in “eight” sounds. Not “haich”.

@Jordan C Americans actually speak with a more traditional accent than current Brits (from what I remember reading). Seems to me that the current British accent was devised (or popularized) a few hundreds years ago, and so I’m going to have to defer to myself (although all this is more in jest than otherwise). As for inventing a language, I guess you might therefore say that Americans invented jazz, despite not inventing those instruments, nor musical styles that it built upon, nor music theory under which all music is derived, nor sound itself. Language is inherited, but it’s true that pronunciation is unique to certain peoples. So Brits invented “haich” and “zed”. Well done

@Jordan C yeah it’s possible. My sister is autistic, so it’s not unreasonable for me to be on the spectrum. I wish I was more outspoken in real life than I am online.
