B Skizzle. Umm I shot my regular backpack full of textbooks and my binder with a 12ga shotgun and AK47 after I graduated. The binder itself stopped buckshot and slugs and the 7.62x39 rounds went trough the binder but not all the books. I was genuinely surprised that I had been walking around with arguably better protection than some body armor.

Atzin Not really. There has to be distinct differences between models for them to be variations of each other. Attachments are limited to tactical lights, stocks, vertical grips, optics, etc. These are mostly cosmetic features with limited operational usage (with the exception of a sight). If you slap a different sight on two HK416s, they would not qualify as being variants of each other. If there was a distinct difference such as one 416 having a 10” barrel and the other having a 9” barrel (The HK416D10 and HK416C, respectively), then they would be variants of the same base rifle.

And if I have to choose between getting my child a book bag that can save him if an event arises or telling him everything is alright and not to worry then I’m choosing the book bag. People want to feel safe without adjusting and taking the matter into their own hand. Just like higher security in schools many people don’t want metal detectors and armed guards at every entrance because ether don’t want to feel like their in a prison. @@thelazyalgorithm8164 yeah, but the fact is, they most likely wont save a single life, at least not for many years. People under estimate just how rare school shootings actually are. You're more likely to die from cancer, driving your car, flying, skydiving, or even taking a shit, than from being shot. Seriously. More people die from toilet relayed injuries than school shootings. It's like what happened with shark attacks a few years ago, people started freaking out about them, even though there were very few of them, in fact, there were less in 2012 (I believe the year the shark attacks started being pushed by the media) than the years before. It's just that the media latched onto it and made it seem like a bigger deal than it was. We would save more children by providing food for them to take home on the weekends than by paying for things to prevent school shootings. Almost any ither problem you try to solve would be a better use of resources than trying to prevent school shootings. The facts are, very few people die from them, and trying to prevent them will lead to more deaths, more wasted money, resources, and time. And less freedom for your children.

Regarding the "Shooting a backpack".. no, you were shooting the bullet proof panel to test and confirm it's capability. Now the extra concern regarding the fact the AR15 round went through the backpack shouldn't cause extra fear.. because AR15s are only used in less than 1% of all shootings. compound that with the low possibility of a school shooting occurring (though more often lately) and the round that would be more likely to defend against is a pistol caliber. it's a bit sad to hear the male and female students talking about how they would feel bad if their parent brought home a bulletproof backpack, as it would indicate that they are very fearful for their safety and that they have accepted that this danger is the new normal. This is an understandable comprehension and thought process.. because who wants to think of having to protect yourself when you're a kid.. However, in my opinion, this is also a great indication that some change in mindset and conversation is well overdue. There's the addage "it's better to have and not need, than to need and not have" like the manufacturer guy stated.. you don't have the fire extinguisher because you're going to have a fire.. you have the extinguisher in case you have a fire. Not to mention that this fear they might have was generated by the damn media in the first place. They just got done saying you're more likely to die playing high school sports than in a school shooting. You buy helmets and pads, right? So what's the problem? It's so stupid.

No. The idea was forced through conversation on those kids that a bulletproof backpack is either part of the problem or slowing down the solution. It's pretty stupid to actually think this would work. Just hand out fucking body armor to students at the beginning of the school year fuck it.
@whatsup59146 жыл бұрын
@@Nickknows00 well if the bullet brakes your fucking back when it hits you cause contrary to what some people believe vests and other bullet stopping devices designed to be worn especially something as light weight as this doesn't completely eliminate the bullets damage it just makes it so that it stops the bullet but the force behind is still gonna get absorbed a good amount by you which means if you get hit with a 9 or if your really unlucky a 44 or 12 gauge in the back your gonna have something get broken or you at least gonna get all the wind knocked out of you and if your backs broke or all your winds knocked out your probably gonna be on the floor crying and not running which means once the shooter hits you in the back all he has to do is walk up to you while your squirming and crying in pain and then since your no longer able to run or even move if your back/ spine gets broke he can just walk up stick the barrel to your head and then boom no protection their so at the end of the day these backpacks are just a false sense of security cause unless you also train these kids to take the pain of getting a bullet in their best they won't be prepared in the backpack will just turn into a hinderence shit best thing to do in a school shooting is to just hit legs and get the fuck out as fast as possible or hope your hiding spot i good enough

@@entousentous1249 honestly not even body armour would work cause just as my reason why the backpack wouldn't work same for vests cause schools prolly wouldn't pass out level 3-4 body armour cause those weigh like 5 pounds or more so it's most likely gonna be level 1-2 body armour similar to the stuff in the backpack being mostly Kevlar fiver for level one and maybe a ceramic plate or 2 in the level 2 armour meaning it will stop all hand gun rounds and maybe some shotgun rounds i.e buckshot and birds got and maybe slugs if it's level 2 but then again when's the last time a school shooting was done with a pistol or shotgun every one of the ones I've heard about are always rifles which means the body armour won't do jack shit cause the rifle bullet would straight up just tear right through and if it were a pistol or shotgun you still wouldn't be safe cause if you get hit sure the bullet won't go through but the force behind it will which means if you get hit with a 44 or a 12 gauge slug your back is probably broken and if you get hit by a 9 or something similar you'll probably get the wind knocked out of you either way it's gonna stop you from running away which means you'll probably be the main target once you get hit since you'll likely be incapacitated unless you got se kinda training that teaches you how to take the pain from getting hit in the vest or your adrenaline is rushing fast enough that you can ignore the pain ( won't work if your backs broke though cause then you just won't be able to run)

“If you put a bulletproof backpack on a kid, what are you saying to the kid?” Probably the same message as putting on a seatbelt: if everyone did what they were supposed to do, we wouldn’t need it, but that’s not how the world works so we have to take reasonable precautions
@TheDrawnBlade3 жыл бұрын
Yours is the repetition of the same argument with fire extinguishers: you're practically normalizing school shootings by saying that, equating them to car accidents and (in the case of other commenters) fires. That's what the people in the video are talking about: they are sayimg that even the presense of such backpacks means there's a constant normalisation. Stop it. Instead of investing into bullet resistent backpacks, smoke cannons and bullet resistent glass in schools, how about we look at what causes school shootings and how we might solve the underlying causes of them? The solution of bullet resistent stuff and smoke cannons and literal mottes at schools is a patchwork; it doesn't help the problem. It's treating the symptom of an illness, not the illness itself.
@lastnamefirstname88433 жыл бұрын
@@TheDrawnBlade I agree we should look to solve it, but I guess you think we should just put our heads in the sand until it’s solved. My guy, you’re so committed to being sensitive you forgot you also have to make an iota of sense.
@DavidHernandez-dk1zs2 жыл бұрын
@@TheDrawnBlade Your logic makes sense but when put into practice it doesn't work that way. School shootings are usually caused by bullied kids who steal their dad's guns and have nothing to lose, bullying is a problem that unfortunately looks like it will never stop, and since weapons like firearms have become so easy to access to, one option to counter this is to learn to defend from such situations when they happen. It's like a car crash, we already know what causes car accidents we just don't know when they will happen, which is precisely why its useful to have a seat belt on at all times.

Atian Firebolt u kidding, man? No one is allowed to legally carry firearms in Brazil but cops or military. Brazil is a huge gun-free-zone. And people get shot in the streets. The higher pistol caliber allowed for home defense is a .380. And its a fucking overcomplicated process to get the license to have a gun (yes, there is a license for you to have guns in your own home!). There is no respect to private property. And still the government can legally decide not to give you the license without need for a justification. You may fit all the legal requirements and still have your license denied (and that happens a lot). So, suppose you fit all the legal requirements and want a gun for home defense (only, because you can’t defend yourself where most of the crimes happens, in the streets), you can start a more-than-6-month long process, have all the papers and certifications, and then, without a reason, get a big NO from the authorities. Gun control is not about guns, it’s about and only about the control.

It's spelled, ludicrous. Just being informative. And I agree with you. They present it this way to help their narrative of suggesting that guns are the problem and the government should do something about it, like take them away from the public. Funny how not once do they ever place blame on where it actually lies. Why does someone decide to take someone's life in the first place? What's wrong with that mentality? That's the problem. Lacking the intellectual aptitude to not resort to violence and the lack of understanding the responsibility for ones actions. That accountable will always be elusive because the liberal left is always quick to place blame on everything other than the individual making the decision.
