Every spring, the town of Stara Zagora in central Bulgaria hosts a controversial bride market where young virgins are paraded in front of suitors who bid on them. The market is the biggest annual get-together for Bulgaria’s 18,000-strong Kalaidzhi Roma clan, a subgroup of the Roma people who face constant prejudice and exclusion across Europe. As a Bulgarian myself seeing this truly hurts. Seeing these beautiful young woman being sold in the gypsy community is so unfair. The lack of government control lead to this result. They’re ruining their lives at a young age without having a voice. These gypsy traditions leads to uneducated generations, low income and tension between the Bulgarians and gypsy communities.

They have to have the choice to choose who they marry. You can see in the video these girls being in love with someone and being sold to some guy which who knows what kind of person he could be. And just because they’re virgins doesn’t mean that they won’t turn into “whores”. The fact that they marry someone who they don’t love will eventually result to cheating or deep depression. @Jay Lo Women in western societies do not need to have sex with men nor do they need to adhere to any beauty regime. Most women simply choose to, nobody is forced to and that is on the woman. You have the freedom to decide what path you walk, what value and worth you put in yourself. The funny thing is yes lots of men will walk away if you are not jumping into bed with them because women think it is liberating to have easy casual sex and have trained men to expect that, nonetheless a man worth having will respect a woman who does not jump into bed with him far more than the one who just opens her legs. How many women lose their children after a break up and ordered to pay child support and leave the family? Very very few. Woman do not get paid less than men for doing the same job to the same standard or let's face it why hire men? Why would it be hard to get the job as a woman if you are a cheaper option, business is about making money. Where are the quotas for men to get the job rather than the best candidate... That only exists for women or certain minorities not for just for being a man. The dangerous jobs you think men are no longer doing lol are still being done by men, so are the nasty jobs and exceptionally few woman can be found in the dirtiest, hardest and most dangerous jobs.... And silence from the femenists on quotas for any of these roles. Women are often too busy trying to build carrers and or out partying and having flings, casual sex and short term fun than they are with creating a family. Women scream for equality only when it is in their favour. Women want to have their cake and eat it. Women buy into the impossible dream of having it all. Modern women make crap wives and crap mothers, they are entitled and selfish. I am so happy to be old fashioned enough to navigate this materialistic, narcasistic, soul destroying times that has no focus on family.
