My stepdad owned a 57 Chevy Bel Air 4 door when he married my mom. He had 1 son, she had 1 son and 2 girls, they had 1 son. With five of his, mine, and ours combined the much beloved root beer colored 57 Chevy was replaced with a humongous station wagon that had a rear facing back seat that folded down flat, and had a rear gate that you could raise and lower the window. With three row seating, the car was big enough to have its own zipcode, plus faux woodburl paneling to make it look classy. Wouldn't you know it, but that is the vehicle I learned to drive a car in during the mid 70's. It was white, so we called it the great white buffalo. I bought a 69 Impala 2 door coupe with the 396 big block motor, turbo 400 automatic transmission, and a positrac rear end. A pale green with a white vinyl top. What was the official factory name for that root beer colored paint? Or the pale green paint for my Impala? It had some fading of the paint so I am guessing. I loved that car. Thanks for any info you can provide.

FYI if you ever do another tri 5. You can use a trans crossmember from a camero. They fit nicely between the frame rails. And a couple of short pieces of angleiron cut to length and drilled to bolt the member to and weld them to the frame. And it gives you the divets to run your exhaust under. I did this on my 55 . I had a crossmember laying around, and saved some bucks. The paper kind not the deer kind. Love your vids. Keep up the good work.

Your small block build video was very helpful. My oldest son is 12 and if he hangs in there thru the build the car goes to him when he is old enough to drive as long as he is keeping good grades. It's super important to involve your children in things like this to many parents letting KZbin raise their kids and then wonder why things don't turn out well for them. Thanks again man 👊👍.

You inspired me to go out in the garage and try to replace the front gear-box seal on my 1983 Troy-Bilt garden tiller. Thank you for the fun videos. When I need to get away I watch your travels through the country trying to get home. Reminds me when I used to just go for a drive, for a few days BM (before marriage).

I come back here ever so often to rewatch, it’s just flat awesome to see how far this channel has come in the past year. Sneaking up on 1/2 million subs, that’s cool. All the best.
