COMMENT BELOW and let me know what YOU think a guy should do with this! The 79' Barn Find Camaro is back! I've hung onto this Camaro and it's been sitting in storage since the first episode. Time to wash this chevy off and decide on a game plan. Flip it? Restore it? Just refresh it enough to move it down the line? Eventually, we'll have to see if it even still runs! Tune in to see how this turns out and let me know what you think!

Love this channel! Here's a bit of advice from an old F-body guy: Get the feller an old-style triggered oil can with a long pointy dispensing tube. Fill it with lightly used (or new) 30w-ish motor oil. Now lube the crap out of those giant old door & hood hinges, springs, hood latch, release cable, trunk parts that move, spring shackles, etc. Basically, lube anything that moves and looks rusty. Do it until the parts GLIDE...it takes a few trips around the barn too. Soon, the hood & doors will work a whole lot better.

I'd actually really like to see your take on a budget paint job for this car. Like how good can an average person, like me or another viewer, patch up that rust, and properly shoot a decent paint job using Harbor Freight equipment or something. I think that would make a great 1 or 2 episode ordeal. Maybe 1 episode of repair and prep, and another episode on shooting the paint. As far as the engine goes, I know you are on a budget, so I say just get her running and driving reliably with whatever budget performance mods you can think of for a 305.

I remember when he first picked this thing up, watching the plug wire arcing right up by the cap... and then seconds later hes dumping gas down its throat hole 😂😂

I had a '78, exact same (non)options. Clean it up, piece it back together and sell it to a kid for some fun. If it was cherry perfect it ain't worth much.

Oh yeah, that sprayer has got some power. I was going to take my car to the coin wash today, but I'm so cheap I thought I would save $4 and I just used a spray bottle with soap and water and a couple of holey socks.

My dad gave me a 79 Camaro RS yellow and black (bumble bee) for my 1988 graduation. I wish I never sold it! My point to make is my drivers seat broke and rust in about the same places. I enjoy how you budget because it reminds me of my dad. I wish I still had my dad. Ppl love your dad because you are not promised tomorrow.
