Aleppo is Syria's largest metropolitan area and a millennia-old commercial capital. Today, however, it is a relative ghost town, threatened by regime bombing from the air and a militant offensive on the ground. For two weeks over the summer, VICE News embedded with the Islamic Front, a coalition of Islamist rebels fighting the forces of President Bashar al-Assad on one hand, and Islamic State militants on the other. From their secret tunnels beneath the ancient city to their threatened frontline outposts in Aleppo's ruined medieval centre, VICE NEWS followed the Islamic Front as, against overwhelming odds, they battled to retain control of the capital of the Syrian revolution.

The footage is deeply impressive, perhaps impeccable, even. But the producers have utterly failed. TroopperFoFo Libya is fucked up. Its in a worse state then it was before the destabilization of Libya. Same with Iraq. Saddam was a hard leader but he kept people in line. Same with Assad. One of the reasons Syria is now being taken out of the oil game is because Assad proposed to Iran and Iraq to create a pipeline through their countries. This would allow Iran to sell oil to Europe. These plans made Saudi-Arabia, Turkey and Qatar really pissed off. It was like saying FUCK YOU to the US oil dollar and their monopoly. One of the reasons there why US is supporting FSA in Syria to topple their government.

Pickleman small chance that will happen anytime soon. Germany was already used to democracy prior to Hitler so they could easily accept it. And East Germany just got another dictator. If Assad falls, I expect the strongest rebel faction(ISIS) to take control over all of Syria. Without Assad ISIS will just steam on to Damascus and these rebels won't stop them. The only thing that can stop them is a stable military with recourses and heavy weapons. Not to mention the genocide that will take place among alawites. I would say you have 3 types of dictatorship. Type 1(Mubarak, Ben Ali, etc), type 2(Assad, Saddam, Pinochet, etc) and type 3(Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, etc). The fall of Assad means you swap a type 2 dictatorship with a type 3 dictatorship, or even worse you get a failed state with all these factions waging a prolonged war against each other like in Somalia, what in fact is a set of several local dictatorships fighting each other.

Western media demonized Gadaffi so the citizens would support intervention. When in reality he was loved by his people and made great improvements to the country. ' We' had him taken out and Libyans now suffer because of that. Their country is in constant chaos. And back when Gadaffi was whacked isis wasn't a major threat like it is now.

Many of them have died. Some fled to Türkiye and Europe. An area currently under the control of the Assad regime. The opposition has changed and has come under other names, currently concentrated in the Idlib region and some areas in the Aleppo countryside.

Taking sex slaves and decapitating nonbelievers is all justifiable according to the Qu'ran and Hadith, and they're all things Muhammad and his armies did themselves (Banu Quarayza).
