When the US and its western allies keep on spreading the misinformation, propaganda, about the genocidal campaign against the nation’s ethnic Uyghur population is a BIG FAT lie. It has been known, often, those videos from those so-called investigation journalists and often disguises as a tourist were staged the interview and paid to the person or persons who interviewed and put in the videos. So that the investigation journalists got exactly what they wanted in order to support their biased one-sided reporting journalism. Often the journalists would paid the interviewer from $500 to $1000 Renminbi; if that person in the video can show more emotional then would received more money. The whole damn video interview was staged and paid for by the journalist. Fact in point if there is really a genocidal campaign against the nation’s ethnic Uyghur population in Xinjiang, then how the hell you can explain the fact in the decade to 2020, the population of China’s ethnic minorities grew 10.3 per cent, while the Han majority expanded at just below 5 per cent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. Last year, Han people accounted for 91 per cent of China’s 1.412 billion people. In any genocidal campaign the population should always keep on reducing and eventually down to a very significant in size or even down to nothing at all. As in the US, the Native American Indian was genocides by the US government during over two hundred years ago. The total American India tribes were reduced from several thousands to only few hundreds as nowadays. And this is what we called the genocidal campaign by the U S government to the Native American Indians. If you believe those video made by those investigating journalists you might as well believe that is a $3 US dollars bill in the US currency.

Fighting terrorism in Xinjiang kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2XGinhsepdqlck If you hate a none violence alternative such as the re-education camp, how do you feel about the millions of Muslims getting killed from the 19 years war on terrors? Brown University’s Costs of War Project this month released a new estimate of the total death toll from the U.S. wars in three countries: Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The numbers, while conservatively estimated, are staggering. Brown’s researchers estimate that at least 480,000 people have been directly killed by violence over the course of these conflicts, more than 244,000 of them civilians. In addition to those killed by direct acts violence, the number of indirect deaths - those resulting from disease, displacement, and the loss of critical infrastructure - is believed to be several times higher, running into the millions. How about the Bosnian civil war during the early 1990s, or Rwanda (1994), where they tried to wipe out the Tutsi ethnic minority? The Rohingya situation has been ongoing in Burma (Myanmar) for some time now. So much for the 'peaceful' religion of buddhism, as buddhists gang up on muslims and Christians. ISIS and other islamic terrorists have been going after Christians in the Arab world ever since the so-called 'democratic' Arab Spring revolts. Kim Jong-un in North Korea is a butcher. He killed his uncle with an anti-aircraft gun and his half-brother with some shady chemical weapon. He builds nukes while peasants starved. His father before him was reported as saying, during a famine, that the death of 70 percent of his people would be acceptable so long as the regime survived. Sadly, this is par for the course. (Romans 3:23) 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.' But this is the first time in my memory that China has been exposed for 'ethnic cleansing'. if anyones wondering what the situation is like almost 5 years later; I visited xinjiang to visit my grandparents just a month ago, and it seems that covid has pretty much obliterated all the police in the area. when I visited in 2019, the highway security checkpoints were almost like clearing international airport security and customs, but now you don't even have to get out your vehicle. there are also way less police everywhere and the CCP seems to be taking a different turn with the region, tourism. the flight I was on from Beijing to urumqi was over 90% tourist groups and so many cities in xinjiang have been transformed into tourist hotspots.

Any Chinese who thinks this is right should accept that their own children should be locked up in a so-called kindergarten where they are forced to sing pro CCP songs and praise the regime non-stop. There are even locks at the doors preventing anybody from gping in or out including these children's parents who might want to pick up their children after 'class'. Talking about parents, have you guys noticed they are nowhere to be seen and these children never go out? It's perhaps because it's not a kindergarten but it's actually a re-education camp thus a damning evidence ethnic cleansing is taking place in Xinjiang and the Communist Party is responsible for it. I just want to know if a single Chinese here would accept his own children to be treated this way? After all, you!re claiming Uyghurs are Chinese so I don't see why Han Chinese children should be treated differently if as a Chinese you condone such a pratice.

Whether or not others still choose to be associated with that person after learning what they said 10 years prior is based upon how apparent that change in their character is. Usually if someone is fired or reprimanded it is because they deflect the outrage by pointing out how long ago it was said instead taking accountability. What someone said 10 years prior may be indicative of their current views especially if they’re currently using dog whistle rhetoric, & being associated with people that substantiate the idea that they may still hold such views. when i worked in Urumqi Xinjiang in 2016, my colleague told me not to travel southern part of xinjiang. such as kashgar and hotan. because it's very dangerous for the han chinese . Many locals were so poor ,undereducated and brain washed by the separatists supported by foreign countries. They were hostile to the han chinese. that's why the government wanted to reeducate them. we han chinese ppl are also ppl, why should we have to risk our lives just travelling in my own country? Do you guys know about the massacre against han chinese in xinjiang and yunnan ? you just know one side of the story. No one 's willing to figure out the real reason why there are so many police on the street. Our goverment taught the locals to be as a chinese, send them to schools so that they can not be easily brain washed by the terrorists. Especially the schools gave them skills to make a living ,rather than killing. what's wrong with that? There may have some tragic stories happened as recorded(although the woman looked pitiful, she and her family may have done some terrible stuff to other ppl . who knows? The journalist may never ask and she may never tell.that's what western propaganda always do) , but the good side definitely outweighted the bad side. the locals can speak their mother tongue, have their own religion, just not to be extremists. Imagine massacre targeting some race happened in your country, what your government would do about it? To be honest, i think you may never empathize with us, cause there's no such a large country in the world like china with so many people and so many peoples.

To give some more context, the Uyghur also were being fed misinformation or deliberately being fed views to encourage killing non-Muslims from Western social media platforms like Facebook. Its why there was such a peak of violence including several ethnic riots in Xinjiang around 2009 that led to innocent people being essentially lynched by mobs of people then leading to several other terrorists incidents in China. The beliefs were along the same lines of Islamic Extremism as groups like ISIS, and the US state department even labelled the East Turkestan movement as a terrorist group (when it was geopolitically convenient and before they became a proper CIA astroturf grass roots movement that is) Its also why Facebook got banned in China in 2009.

The reports of genocide in Xinjiang always seemed stupid to me. 1) To lock down 12M+ Uyghurs and 8M other residents of the region to the point of genocide, you would probably need 500k+ soldiers. Possibly 1M soldiers since the residents are so spread out. The entire ground army of the PLA is about 1M soldiers. Nobody seriously thinks the PLA is keeping half or more of their ground army in Xinjiang. Even if the PLA had that many soldiers stationed there, they would have to build massive supply centers and have huge amounts of truck traffic to feed all the soldiers plus the millions of people supposedly locked up. We don't see anywhere near the amount of truck traffic and other logistics necessary to maintain anything approaching a genocide. 2) If millions of Uyghurs were locked up, they would be disproportionately the 18-54 demographic since they are the most likely to cause trouble. Taking that many workers out of the economy would mean that you simply don't have an economy. Russia has lost about 2M out of a population of 144M due to emigration and conscription in their military. And Russia already has severe labor shortages. 1-2 million Uyghurs would be the equivalent of 30-60M Americans of prime working age being locked up. We wouldn't have an economy at all. Instead, Xinjiang's economy is steadily growing. 3) A people being genocided would either fight back fiercely or flee. We see that in Ukraine and with the Rohingya in Myanmar or with the Palestinians in Gaza. We don't see any large scale refugee movements to neighboring countries like Kazakhstan even though the borders are massive. 4) In all cases where genocide is occurring, collaborators are hated and often killed. Yet Uyghurs have a massive presence in the Chinese entertainment industry. A Uyghur actress, Dilraba Dilmurat is the most popular and highest paid actress in all of China. Instead of being hated, Dilraba and other entertainers like Guli Nazha are just as popular in their home region as they are in the rest of China instead of being viewed as collaborators. 5) If Uyghurs were being genocided, China wouldn't have any friendly relations with their neighbors in the area. Instead, China is forging many relations with them and Chinese tourists are welcome there. 6) If Uyghurs were being genocided, there wouldn't be tens of millions of tourists visiting Xinjiang. These tourists don't just visit the cities. They visit the villages and fields as well. They bike or hike around as well as more traditional means of transportation. It would be impossible to hide the soldiers, truck traffic, supply dumps, and massive concentration camps needed for a genocide.

I live in an ethnic minority area in the interior of China, where the conflict between ethnic minorities and communism is less obvious than on the frontiers. Partly because of industrialization and population movement (younger generations go to other cities to go to school)
@ScienceDrYang10 ай бұрын
I don't think China has a problem with ethnic minorities. The problem is with religion, especially Islam, which is simply incompatible with the communist party and with the main population. The Islamic religion has the problem of inability for muslims to merge with other people through marriage without others converting to Islam. This necessarily means that, through long time, either Islam takes over the country/region, or is taken out by force. Any third option of coexistence is simply temporary and hoping it lasts is delusional. This can already be seen in European nations that have serious conflicts between muslims and the secular society. Without dramatic policy changes, most European democracies will eventually be voted to become Islamic nations practicing Islamic laws due to demographic changes in a few decades.

Towerofbauer - I see you skipped your history lessons, so here’s a brief one: The west only revolutionized within the past 300 years or so, before that the Islamic empire was the symbol of human advancement. Europe was plunged in the dark and Middle Ages. Dieseas and unhygienic conditions were widespread . The church conducting horrific experiments, overall Europe was pretty backwards. However the Islamic empire was consistently making advancements in medicine, astronomy, mathematics and science which without Newton and Galleleo may not have made their advancements and many of the things you know of today may not have existed. Combine this with centralized and humane laws, good courts and a good economy and you got yourself the most developed empire in the world at that time. At the time did the muslims blame all christians as backwards because the church was? NO. Unlike society nowadays they helped them. Islamic scholars spread their ideologies to the west and kickstarted its advancement. It’s a shame that this advancement ceased to exist after the empire got sucked into wars after which all this ended.

At the time I had no idea what was going on expect that people were taken away from their homes and detained. We were only taken to places for tourists, and I never heard a world of compliant from the Uyghurs we encountered. Now that I look back, I realized they were forced to shut their mouth and act like everything is fine. While their family members were suffering, communities broke apart, and culture killed. Criticism of what is happening in other areas, such as Palestine, does not hide the forced expropriation of Uyghurs by China.
