Apparently China has many different regions with many different minority groups with strong identities that are not necessarily consistent with mainstream Chinese culture and it would seem that mainstream China and Mainland China are trying to keep their country together and not have it ripped apart in many different directions. Only recently did I learn that there are many different places like Hong Kong that are Chinese but feel as if they are autonomous / independent or separate then of course there are places within China where the same type of thing occurs so when I look at this I say if I was the leader of China what would I do -- hiw do you manage all of the autonomous and independent reguons? I'm from the United States and we have autonomous in independent regions associated with the United States as well like the United States Virgin Islands Puerto Rico Washington DC Guam into a far lesser degree even to Philippines and so as I think about the relationship we have with those areas it seems to work but then they don't really see themselves as Americans -- well except for the people of Washington DC.

You really need to know the whole story. The minority group turned into extreme terrorism. There are videos of terrorist bomb and killed hundreds of Han in a train station. The stability of that are was becoming very violent. China has no other option. The main issue is the mentality of this minority groups. They are brainwashed and directed hate towards general public. The only way to change the mentality is education. Some of these minority has no choices, they were given education at a young age. It is the poor management for the region. China needs to create some system to force this minority whom are brainwashed to give them other options. Give them a living skill. Same as the idea as, you give a man a fish, he survives for a day, but teaches him to fish, he is set for life. This is a system by Chinese government and it worked very well. If people look at the modern Xin Jiang. It worked well. Stability and peace. Lots of these minority groups modernly are very grateful for China's strategy. China not only re-educated the mentality but also build infrastructure. Look at Xin Jiang now, and you will see how beautiful it is. They are starting to become a tourist location.

I have not been to Xinjiang but been to Guangzhou many times, recommend my Malay muslim friends to go there for a family trip. They visited Mosque and eat halal food over there, no issue of perform daily prayers. They comment to me they never realise how muslim friendly China is.
