Notes on Romanization : Studying with my book, you might have noticed that the romanization in the book differs from the one in this video. In the book, the standardized romanization is used. The reason why different resources provide varying romanizations is that each believes their version best represents the pronunciation in English. This confusion often stems from the fact that Korean and English have different pronunciation systems. However, there is a standardized system for the romanization of Korean words, which the book follows. Aside from providing place names to foreigners or when teaching Hangeul to foreign students for the first time, it's uncommon to use romanized letters for Korean words. So ultimately, at some point, you will need to get comfortable reading Hangeul alone and drop romanization for more effective studies. Therefore, when studying Hangeul using romanization, it is recommended to *practice recalling the Korean pronunciation that each romanized letter represents,* rather than taking the letters at face value. 화이팅!✨ (화이팅 comes from "Fighting" and it can be translated as "You can do it" or "I cheer for you" ^^)
Following this lesson had me wondering how I even read big numbers in my own language

Once you start writing the numbers in Hangul, reading them begins to make so much sense!! 😃 I enjoy language so much because when you speak more than one fluently it becomes much easier to understand the sentence structure of other languages. I honestly commend every person who goes from any other language to English because the sentence structure is so different, that I used to cry doing my English lessons.
