Richy,,, good video brother. I fell in love in 2006 when my buddy bought his Softail Deluxe, black and white pearl. I drive a 17 RGS, put in a 468 Zipper cam, did some custom dynamics lights, and have the Hot Rod Red Flake from the factory with black flames... The flake is crazy in the sun, and the color looks burgundy in the shade. That is my tripping bike. In Oct 2024 I bought my Softail Deluxe (glacier white and chopper blue). The bike had 12,600 miles on it when I bought it. I am in the process of doing a cam plate and cam upgrade. I can't tell you how much I really Love this bike. It's 20 years old and everywhere I go it turns heads. The gangster fatty white walls set it off like putting a beautiful pair of high heels on a lady with killer legs.. lol. I like the stock bars and not looking to do apes as I have 12" on my RGS. I like the old-school look and feel for now, but you know how that goes,, it can change.. good video man, the bike looks good. I like the fishtails and always liked them, but the bike came with a 2into1 V&H high-performance pipe on it. I like the sound and with the new cam upgrade, I'm looking forward to how that works out... Happy New Year brother from the DAWG in the Show Me State of, Missouri.

I’m in the process of making into a vicla. Bought a set of DNA front 21” and 18”rear wheels. I recently pulled the plug on 36’s Samson fishtails

Thanks Richie for sharing good info. Well done job, I also saw your video on the touring bike. I'm in PR, riding mostly mountain twisties with both of my bikes, a 2005 xl1200c and a 2012 switchback. I do oil changes and some light mechanical myself, but for the lack of space and appropriate tools must rely on shops for more involving jobs. Keep inspiring riders, my respect to you!!

Have a 2003 numbered paint softail low rider. Have not made a video yet but will get around to it. Shout shock air ride DNA mamoth apok 23front 18 rear carlini menice 18' thick apes , front hwy bars factory 47. Just added a recluse cluch and upgreaded the onl 88 to 100 inch. I grew up in the car and bike scene. In the '70s, hot rods (pre 1948) and choppers were predominant whites and blacks. Lowriders and viclas were predominant Mexicans and Hispanics with very little whites or blacks. That's the history of it. That's not saying that now it's only that way. Things change, and people learn to like different things. I'm an old white guy who grew up in the hood in Houston, Texas. The hardest part that I'm having building my 2017 Heritage soft tail is my wife. She's money smart so she like, "We need to spend that money elsewhere." Nice bike, Sir.

The rolled blanket is an old school tradition, I guess you can say. Back in the day it was carried for if you had to camp at the side of the road. Today it's just for looks.

I always knew these as Cholo's my problem is all these guys taking and installing bolt on parts and calling them that. If it doesn't have some metal engraving and custom paint, I don't consider it a cholo. My east coast style which i did back in 2010 was with a Fat Boy Lo and I did a rat rod look with a bunch of custom-made parts by me. I have moved on from this style and now do Sportster Adventure bikes.

There are different levels of these. I don't think I'll have engraving, but paint is in my future. Engraving, though beautiful is outrageously priced. Where do you ride the sportsters? I have an 1150 GS, I've ridden in the blue Ridge Mountains, but it's a 4 hour ride there.

@@bronxbrosmotorcycles My 2016 Heritage is my touring bike, and my 1999 Sportster 1200 was a Custom but now has 14" rear shocks and long travel front end. I'm in western PA and take rte. 6 all the way to Pocono's and Catskills. I go to Blackthorne every fall it's a good old fashion bike event.
