I can't get over the people that don't see the unselfish act of giving J.J up for adoption , Charles had done proven he could adopt a child and love him no differently than if he was the sperm donor at their ages a special needs child isn't likely to go off to college and independent at eighteen they knew that .

Oh people are always willing to say that you giving doing something good for the child of it involves someone else raising them, as your being a bad person. I had to go through that too with my daughter when she was in middle and high school. I was getting married and she didn't want to leave her home town which she would have had to if I made her live with me. Considering the fact that I am miserable because I had to go to 8 schools before I graduated high school and literally had the worst growing up time ever, I told her that she could stay at her grandparents even though it made me sad. If you asked her today she will tell you that she's very happy that I made that decision and that she thinks it's a sacrifice that I made for her. And honestly, I think one of the reasons she did so well in school and then went on to have a full ride all the way through her University career is because of exactly all of that.

The tragedy of this is that if law enforcement had done their job when Charles was desperately trying to get intervention with Lori, if law enforcement had done anything resembling a commonsense investigation into Charles' murder, these children and Tammy would still be here and Kay would never have had to testify at a trial. This is such a tragedy.

Credit to Kay - her memory for dates, times, events and smaller details is exemplary. No wonder Charles asked her to look after his accounts. Her computer knowledge puts me in the shade, and I am a lot younger. Let us never forget that she and her hubby Larry opened the door to the whereabouts of JJ and Tylee. If it hadn't been for them going to the police, this horrifying story, may have not come to light. I can't imagine the pain they have faced and still deal with, as the case unfolded. Thank you Kay and Larry for pursuing justice for all the victims of Chad, Lori and Alex.🌹

He’s known about his son’s death since the children were found. His former GF who was JJ’s mother has been dead for a couple of years, she apparently never really was able to recover from the loss. It was a self-unaliving. Imagine how heartbreaking it would be to try to do the right thing and allow your baby who was born with disabilities to be adopted by his father’s uncle and his wife to be raised with older siblings, and later the adoptive mother takes the life of your child. Devastating!

Chad and Lori are monsters. However, Charles doesn't sound so great either. He left his money to his sister and did not provide for the other children. He only left money for JJ's upkeep if he was raised by Kay, and nothing if he was raised by Lori. The children's material needs were not given any thought.
