On day 14 of the Chad Daybell triple murder trial, we heard testimony from Dr. Erik Christensen, a retired Utah Chief Medical examiner.
Daybell was charged with murdering both of his current wife, Lori Vallow's children, JJ Vallow, and Tylee Ryan; along with his previous wife, Tammy Daybell.
Tammy's death back in 2019 wasn't initially considered suspicious. On May 1, the jury heard from Christensen about Tammy's cause of death.

I’m my opinion that doesn’t help the defense. If he wants to get a little nasty with character witnesses that would make sense. Even the officers I can see but this medical examiner hasn’t hit a home run for the prosecution. He’s talks very credible but the defense treats him as if he’s trying to catch him lying. Why, because the pressure from both types of falls produces a complex of different types of injuries. THEREFORE > hands on brusing shows certain types of bruises verses falling from a seizure. But his determination of cause of death was strong enough to just say it was of asphyxia & that was not of natural causes so it had to be homicide. Chad started giving his kids money and they excused the cause of the death of their mother. No way Lori would have been strolling around the family home a week after my mom died. And they went on vacation with her and Chad. Tammy worked hard to take care of them and that loser Chad. Nobody but her immediate family cares what happened to her. Her children are not even in court 😔

The corner did have hesitation & did suggest to family to have one & gave reasons why it is important. BUT SHE WAS new to her position & did not get a pathologists opinon or advice on this one at the time she was with that family & Tammy'🤔. From now on I believe she will. As a Former Hospice nurse I would of never felt comfortable with a corner. Gee. If authorities thought family involved in the homicide > they would never call that same family & tell them that they are exhuming body & doing an autopsy anyway > (Against family's wishes.) A PATHOLOGIST who never saw the body at day of death has no say so over it being exhumed again. He just may have an opinion but he is not the reason Authorities are the reason. >The family formerly refused autopsy against coroners advice etc so it had to be by Authorities showing judge strong evidence as to it being possible homicide. I pray The state brings all this up.

bruises can indicate a struggle especially on the chest and arms when a person has been suffocated. pushing a pillow down on her face would leave marks on her gums and on the inner side of her lips blood vessels break in your eyes things like that. Prior trying to act like bruises don't indicate homicide but only that she was "ill" is the most wild bullsh*t I've ever heard. And that he somehow knows more than someone else on that subject makes Prior look stupider by the minute. He knows he is going to loose this case and is going with incomatance rudeness and intimidation to get his way.
