Group identity/group think is more part of conservative American ideals actually. Ex. Everyone MUST stand for the pledge of allegiance, everyone MUST speak English to be a “real American”, everyone MUST show undying admiration to the founding fathers even though they were flawed humans beings and owned slaves. The whole obsession with “western civilisation” being threatened is another example of this anxiety of preserving the groups nationalist identity. Conservatives think of people as needing to be constrained with rigid behaviours/rituals or else they lose some kind of cohesion that defines them. To me this is pure group think/anti individualistic behaviour compared to democrat values of tolerance and protecting peoples individualistic self expression

Are labor unions a form of Marxism? Why shouldn't the aristocrat who owns the factory keep 99.9% of the factory's profit? Why should the factory worker who can't get into Harvard based on merit (academic test scores) get a fair share of my company's profits?

From day one we are all different. Forcing supposed equality only brings chaos and disaster. Sooner or later, it also becomes apparent that those people who are pushing such an agenda are not willing to live what they're promoting. They want to tell others what to do but they are not doing it themselves. But the biggest problem is yes, natural talent and motivation ends up being sacrificed to extreme mediocrity and inefficiency, and economic systems break down. Society breaks down due to desperation. I am 64. For example, over the years, I have applied for many jobs that I was rejected for because I just was not what was required by the employer. It's not a problem, it's normal and healthy to be able to build your business as you see fit. Choose people who will be able and willing to do what is needed I am glad for all the more fit people in this world. I did what I could as long as I could and now am mostly involved with self care and small contributions to help younger family members develop good habits. Grandchildren being born, my adult children are walking with God, leading sensible lives. It took effort. God is my refuge and provider. I am grateful to have been born and raised in the USA. I am not happy at all when I see people living here who are unappreciative or misguided, and are causing unnecessary problems.

And one of the many problems with this is that people of differing races/genders/religions have far more in common on a economic level than they have in common with people of the same race/gender/religion of different economic levels. The issue is that as a white man who was born from poverty, and never got any opportunities until I put in an immense amount of work, I never experienced white privilege, and to assume that every white person does, automatically forces a wedge between the white person and the black person. As does arguing about gender and trying to force your opinions on others. If people would just learn to stay in their own lane, we could all meet in the middle on the things we have in common as opposed to focusing on what is different about us, and how those differences victimize us. Which is what the woke loves to do.

'white privilege' is an #ANTIWHITE SLUR. TRIBALISM (DEFINING and DEFENDING of boundaries to restrict access to resources of a particular territory for exclusive use of the people occupying that location) is denied to Westernkind. Tribalism much better describes the effort of segregation in the American South.

Equality does not exist, because we are all different, give or take, more or less. What we need Is equity, so everyone gets a fair chance. You don't help the oeople who don't need it, but the ones who do.

Equity means same outcome for all. Not what we need. We have equality, equal opportunity. everyone has a chance to get a degree. start a business. become rich off social media. Equity would be like, "im not going to do anything, because im owed en equal amount of success to those who work hard. Equity is for lazy do nothings. the only thing Equity will do is ensure we are all poor. they will crush the middle class and themselves even richer. happens with socialism every time.

I get this strong feeling that China, the Soviet Union (Russia) and other communist leaning ideology states have made it a point and priority to promote such ideas here in America. Whether through social gatherings say in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s to the Internet and later social media platforms. This ideology has definitely taken a foothold in many community colleges, state and even private universities. I keep witnessing how when opportunities don’t equal outcomes how the left continues to promote equality in a way that is detrimental to America and American values all together. It’s scary really. ✌🏽🇺🇸🙏

No that's no what it means at all. It simply means BEING AWARE of inequalities in our society. The causes are another thing and there's no 1 answer. Edit: equality of opportunity is a noble goal and should not be confused with equality of outcome which is not possible.
@LUIS-ox1bv Жыл бұрын
Being aware of inequalities can be subjective and is used arbitrarily by the left. Just as, " racism," is applied to anyone or anything which the left desires to deconstruct and reshape, in order to fit their subversive narrative. This desire on the part of the left to correct perceived injustices or wrongs, in their attempt to create a temporal utopia, is doomed to fail. As any Marxist inspired enterprise fails.

Every time you over-generalize an issue and pick a simple, single explanation and try to force a standard solution, you get injustice. It never fails. All people are unique, and their circumstances are always going to be different. You CAN'T make everyone equal. Equality doesn't exist. Even the oxymoron of "First among equals" is a hypocritical recognition that we will never be equal in anything.
