Lifelong Spurs fan since Robinson's rookie year. I don't know about you, but the passion from Wemby in this game is absolutely top. I was punching the air like a teenager again with that last couple of threes and that superb block from Wemby. I was a huge Robinson fan and was distraught when Olajuwon dominated in that playoff game. I know it's weird but somehow this game just gives me the chills.

@@alexeim1966Not only that, but he also play like a guard, the guy just had 5 3’s this game, some from almost logo range, he also has nice handles, he can pass very well already he is literally the best passer on the Spurs, and he also has some nice footwork in the post so he’ll be just like KD or Lebron, even tough they are bigs (They both play Power Forward now, Lebron even played Center 2 years ago, and he played PF most of his prime), they are so skilled that they were the faces of the league, and i think it’ll be the same for Wemby … And the thing is that he also has the personality, charisma, aura of a GOAT, just like Shaq for exemple, kids could never emulate his game, but Shaq was so funny and goofy that everybody loved him even kids .. Kids love to see a grown man like him or Lebron being goofy, it show them you don’t have to be serious all the time to be an adult and be succesful. So yeah Wemby has everything, and even tough he isn’t American, he speak almost perfect English and come from a big European country unlike Jokic, Giannis, Doncic or Embiid, France is 70Million peoples, that’s like the population of 2 big states like New York+California, and he is also half Congolese so he could bring Africans fans too, he is just the perfect guy in term of marketability in 2024, even the fact that he is half white/half black make him relatable for more people, and i think Wemby is so smart and well surrounded that he won’t end up in Political stuff that he doesn’t really understand like Lebron, and he won’t be a cry baby like Lebron (Im a Lebron fan and even i am tired of him sometimes), so he will be more likeable, a lot of people hate Lebron because of one of these 2 things, so Wemby could really reach MJ level popularity, and with his height and intelligence, he could play in movies like Kareem Abdul Jabbar or Shaq … And if you combine NBA popularity+ Hollywood popularity, this guy will be everywhere on social media even more than Lebron

Idk if Wemby can surpass Michael Jordan’s popularity because of the Jordan brand/shoes and he came at a time way before social media when there weren’t as many famous people in the world , and Kobe playing for the 1 of the most popular organizations in sports in the Los Angeles Hollywood market is also tough to beat but he definitely can reach similar level of superstardom. I think Curry is charismatic and fun on the court but doesn’t have the level of charisma off it and I agree as a LeBron fan I don’t see Wemby angering as many people with his opinions or decisions. He has the looks, charm and charisma for it to go with the mind blowing physical traits that draw attention and the most likely record breaking career.
