1:18 Wemby had “better stats in every category” as infographic shows Chet with higher FG% and 3 pt FG% 😂😂😂 Not trying to make an argument for Chet, just thought the mismatch was finny

The fact Chet is going toe to toe with Victor is awesome

"It would be extremely un-Spurs-like to make a big, splashy trade." Wemby is the most un-Spurs-like player in Spurs history. As a player, he is more like Kobe, Mike, and Steph than Timmy, Manu, and Tony. Yes, he takes losing personally. So do all the GOATs.

Trae ain’t the only one complimenting Wemby. Y’all just talking about him because Atlanta ain’t winning

1:15 Yeah I get he has like 2 more of every stat but like the efficiency tho

Honestly the Suprs front office isn’t going to rush bc they develop their talent and when the players are good enough then they might a trade or two that brings them to a contender or maybe just a deep run in the playoffs Wemby is signing that max contract or maybe he might sign a Lebron type extension

How is it going to be a long rebuild? The roster will be completely different next year.

Technically, the Spurs could draft Bronny just to get LeBron.

LeBron on a league minimum and Young? Yeah, that'll change your record fast!

Is Wemby gonna be a top 10 player in 5 years?👇

He’s arguably already a top 10/15 player so… Yes of course. The question is rather: Will he be a top 5 player next year. I believe he very well could
@nydibs7 ай бұрын
Most likely in 2-3 years if no injuries
@veganpotterthevegan7 ай бұрын
@Peroriperora yup, definitely top 10 already. 95% of him being top 10 is due to his defense. He's maybe top 25 for offense due to his inefficiency.

All about winning? Hardly. Wemby repeatedly admits to motivated by awards like RotY. Huge stat chaser. Took a covered 30 footer with 17 seconds left on the shot clock up 6, and 2 minutes left. He made it, but come on, glory hour shot.

I understand the need for that narrative but so far I saw no evidence of a beef going further than a bit of one-on-one pure competition. I don't think either of them thinks the other one is a bad guy. Yes Wemby got heated up, got a bit physical and flexed on some plays, but he didn't seem to go out of his way. BTW I saw that U19 final.. Wemby was indeed fouled out but the man of the final was not Chet. It was Kenny Lofton Jr. And since it was 2,5 years ago the slight difference of age between Chet and Wemby (20 months) was then more significant, Chet was in the right category while Wemby could have played with the U17. Today it's different because after that final Wemby spent 2 full seasons playing with grown-up players in France and a bit of Euroleague while Chet played one more season in NCAA. In any case I think having a rival as good as Chet is a great chance for Wemby and for the NBA. I am french, I am 100% a Wemby fan but I wouldn't say I can't stand Chet, I really deeply hope he develops into the great player he's heading towards, and that the rivalry will last as long as possible. I love your stuff BTW :)

Take away the media and Chet wins ROTY and it's not even close. Also remember that OKC don't even need Chet to play his heart out. We're looking at a 110% Vic vs a 50% Chet 😂

Wemby is the better player, right now. If it was just a couple of blocks on Chet but Chet was outscoring him even by a bit and doing more of the little things then sure. ROY isn't or shouldn't be who has the best potential. Which is why I was advocating for Chet early in the season. He seemed to be better at the time. I no longer see that as the case. I didn't even need to see this game, Wemby has already been better defensively and put up higher points. The only way I would care about the matchup is if Chet shut Wemby down and had his way offensively, then between that and wins we can say the matchup isn't right.
