(Or maybe anarchist, if possible for the USA. I've only seen anarchist done with the UK so far, I'm just assuming it's possible with any country.)

I’m in a game where I played as Russia and made the USA, Middle East, and Belgium my puppets. It’s not even 1900 and Russia is ranked #1. They are such a power house that I have to keep upgrading my construction sector just to keep my reserves from maxing. My taxes are at minimum! Still, it’s really hard to increase sol with them. I had Brazil #1 sol quick, but Russia has a huge pop. Anyways, hope you guys are having fun with this game!

I had a super easy job banning slavery in my V3 USA game because John C Calhoun beat up Henry Clay with a cane 2 years into the game, and the randomly generated guy who replaced him as leader of the southern planters was an abolitionist

I did something similar and ended slavery before the Mexican American War while pissing off the natives and doing horrible things that way. I then after 2 different wars with Mexico ended up with not just having taken all my territory I wanted the first time and turned around to puppet them. I ended up in a war with Britain and took all of Canada with Quebec's help which offered to be a puppet in the middle of the war which I didn't think could happen. I had tried to peace out and realized I couldn't take them too. It is insane the amount of money you make thinking like an American at the time. I now have Alaska from Russia and ended up taking Hawaii. As I just couldn't not have it. I wanted Cuba and Spain fought me and ended up with the Philippines and a previous war had Sulu which helped that outcome. It really is two different games from playing a European power and the US.

I played as the Netherlands today. I needed to keep my obligations with France so I went into every war by their side. France started conquering the Moluccas, and the Dutch East Company sided with the enemy. So I was fighting against my subject ,fine. But the stupidest thing was when I took Tidore, they capitulated and became a subject of the Dutch East Company while we were in war with them!

I’m playing a beautiful run right now. Formed NGF by 1840 took Schleswig and all of Austria proper in 1850 backed by France. Formed Germany without another war in 1850. It’s now 1871 I own all of sub Saharan Africa. Supergermany with Elthass Lothringen after France turned on me over colonies. My gdp is 500 mil I have 900 construction and am stilll building up for more extensive wars. Also don’t know if you know this but you can go just short of 100 before pariah status. Let me take massive slices of territory in 1 grab.

You can probably hit 1billion by 1880 with us not puppeting. I have done it with Germany and Russia, starting USA run now. Speed to 100 construction with iron frame asap. Then build 51 building at a time for the highest need item to hit the economy of scale bonus.

honestly, all that stuff in the begining, isnt even necessary, you can still piss of the planters, and ban slavery, i did it basically the same way. but i still got the massive benefit from making everyone happy. in like 1837... its currently way too damn easy to ban slavery, they need to add more than just the base system to decide if the war breaks out, or they need to make it -40

Countries are programmed to pursue some historical things each time (British need tea) but it will largely be a different game each time with world changes affecting each country

But there are no mission trees like in Eu4 so it's far from being historicaly accurate. For instance, there is no event to get Oregon, Washington state and Alaska. I still prefer EU4. Each country had a different flavour. In Victoria 3, everything is the same. Build economy, make some puppets, colonize, take more puppets... Build and research in exactly the same order...
