First if all I hope that was a wonderful Birthday with so many more to come and Graham a fantastic cake made. Secondly can I than you for you message and being concerned for me that was so lovely and sorry I am only just able to reply. Thirdly what can I say "The Bun" vlog was hilarious and I laughed so much. This Dormouse is slowly getting there still more not so good days than others, other days think yea feel OK only to end up worse. Yesterday was Piper Roo's 9th Birthday and being given a extra ice cream day before was not acceptable as everyone gets a Birthday Cake so why not the Dog 🤦‍♀️ Loosly translated Grumpy got Roo to give me the doe eyes saying there has been a lack of home bakes Grumpy will do dishes but Mum bake the Cake. I decided Ginger Cake for a change so good old Google found me a Good Food recipe that I had all ingredients for. All I can say was wow 140° in Happy for 60 mins and then much laughter as it needed to cool completely.... try explaining that to Roo who paced and paced finally he resorted to resting head on table while standing and fell asleep snoring 😂😂😂🤦‍♀️ Candles on, song sang and a happy Roo and dad tucked into slice of Ginger Cake followed by a 2nd bit with custard. I am still plodding with 1lb a week weight loss so a sml taste for me.... I was amazed as so light and moist. Roo not impressed as I have put half in freezer. I did all mixing with Kenwood and made it easier for me.... I was like Wendy before would fold flour in but now I use, Kenwood to mix just on lowest setting for under a minute just enough to mix flour in but it keeps air and a light cake. Once you know how to Bake a sponge it is quicker and nicer than a shop brought one. Last weekend we had flooding all around so our Town completely cut off for couple of days. Folk 2xstreets down took chair out and fishing rod and pretended to fish it even made BBC News I guess by now with weather you have to find something funny as pretty grim. Tonight it was dark just on 11pm already nights pulling in ladt week it was light at midnight still. So far another year of not sitting into wee sml hours in garden with fire.... Grumpy has even put house fire on Your garden looks so colourful and pretty ours is a job in progress but if able I am on supervisor duty tomorrow as we have some things that need re potting and moving around so fingers crossed that gets done at least before pain is so bad I need doped up and put into bed. At least Roo got his Cake and I got to catch up with you both. Take care and tanks again for caring about a Dormouse 💜🥰💜xxx
