Victoria amps are one of the first boutique builders, they did that ivy league, as I'm sure you know , they are right up there with dr. z and goodsell amps ,very nice ,and merry Christmas and Happy new year

fun fact. ronnie montrose used a fender bandmaster on his 1973 solo release "Montrose". i had always thought it a marshall until i read an interview a few years ago. great vid, johan! keep it up.

Victoria’s are amazing amps. i have a Golden Melody (tweed bassman front end into tweed twin power section, 2x12). tones and dynamics are incredible. three-band EQ with an insanely impacting mid control. can go from almost blackface fender clean to vintage biting marshall tones by just dumping or diming the mids. great amps.

Oh my goodness. That is one sweet sounding amp to my ears. I came across a 1960'ish Silvertone that looked and sounded eerily similar. I haven't been able to convince my son in law to part with it yet! Haha, Great "Sweet Home Alabama" tone, spot on...

I've read that Pete used a tweed Bandmaster on Who's Next (with the Gretsch that Joe Walsh gave him). I definitely heard some tones that reminded me very much of that album. Great video as always Johan. Thanks.

I want the one with the single 15" speaker - 35115. Saw Frank Corillo play long ago when he was in a cover band and he had a Fender Concert(?) amp - like a super reverb with a single 15" speaker. Sounded glorious...

Thanks Johan! Love these Victoria amps. I have a nice Vicky 20112 (based on the 5E3) but it's pretty dark and only sounds good to me cranked. Love the tones this bandmaster makes. Lately I've been taken with the cherry bomb. Love to hear some old Gibson amp demos if you ever get your hands on any!

Tweed amps sound great...with a Groove Tubes plug-in solid state rectifier and plugged into a 412. Of course, with you playing it always sounds like pixie dust and angel wings.

Thanks Tim! The greatest amp I've played is Ragnars 59 Bassman. If I could only use 3 amps I'd go with a Forsberg Superlead, a Pure Tone Amps Offset, an Aleksander Niemand Zagray! and a Pleximaster Beast. Cheers!

OK,...so how does that compare to a Fender Delux or even a hotrod Deville? Sounds GREAT and i love how it breaks up the singlecoils and is super punchy without losing clarity,.but i never heard of this amp and i curious

Two great users of the Bandmaster in studio are: Doobie Bros and Pete Townsend (with a big Gretsch - for all those great classic Who rock riffs!) You so nearly did the Doobies @5.11 !

I picked up the Fender ri for $1000 amp swapped the caps for SoZo blue caps and changed the speaker wire to Siren 2 so it is much smoother. The Fender Jensens seem better than the standard Jensen ri, but I want to try some different speakers. It would be interesting to have 3 different speakers.

Hi bro, I just bought this same amp. Would you recommend jumpering the channels and how would you do that? Where to put instrument cable and from what input to where the extra cable? P. S. I love your videos

Hi! Glad to hear it. I know some fenders can be jumpered and on some the channels are out of phase. I usually put the intrumemt in the high bright input and then route the jumper cable from low bright to high normal input. Doesn’t hurt to try it. Cheers

Really wanted to like this amp’s tone but it just sounded too thin. I have a new Victoria 5 watt with 12 “ speaker, do I have purchased a Victoria amp. I really liked the tweed Bassman you played- one of my favorite tones. Was wishing the lower watt 3 speaker would sound like the bigger Bassman. Guess I got to step up financially to get the tone I want. Keep up the fine work.

I'm not as familiar with this "band master" tone. Not the bottom end I'd expect from say a twin or baseman. It is still an interesting sound ...sort of like a BIG Champ sound to me.

Once I moved up from my Berhringer and nasty-sounding BJ III , I have not had a bad sounding amp. From Vibro-Champs to bigger Fenders, Vox's, a Marshall, all have been good. ?
