Another fun video and such lovely fluorite pieces. I've collected various gems and minerals for many years, fluorite and labradorite being my favorites. Fluorite does fade in sunlight. Storing them away from direct sunlight is helpful.

I love your enthusiasm for your finds, whether they are valuable or not. Alex can get as excited about a bottle, just because the glass is a gorgeous color, as she is about a rare find. And I love your knowledge about the significance of the items for where they fit into history. Your channel first caught my eye because I had read a couple of exceptional novels- with good historical fiction, the author has done a lot of research, and I’ve learned so much about the Victorian period from fiction, both from the stories and the author’s research sources. I had recently read about a very poor family that lived by the Thames, and I heard about mudlarking for the first time. What you’re doing is like treasure hunting. I just saw a video where you found what you thought was a witches’ bottle. All the details of history are more interesting to me if you put them in the context of stories, and you two are just delightful with the details you share, the locations you visit, your enthusiasm and joy. You’ve inspired my husband and me to include some less populated areas in our travels when we finally get over to the UK. Love the jewelry, glass-blowing, driftwood houses… all the clever and beautiful things you make, also. You’re a lot of fun-I’m so glad you’re on KZbin.

What a beautiful day you both had. Finding natural treasures, just laying on the ground. I'm wondering if the crystals would survive tumbleing? Do you think they might shatter? I'd be very interested to see how they would turn out. Or would they just be ground perfect and smooth. How beautiful they would be if they did. Their colours are so lovely. The nice part of having them out on the ground is you know that they are light fast. Some fluorite turns a dirty cloudy yellow over time when exposed to sunlight. Not good for jewelry. Thanks for taking us on this journey with you! 🧡🌻
