Richards & Hartley Glass Co., Tarentum, PA 1866-1893, became Factory E of U. S. Glass in 1891, factory sold to Tarentum Glass Co. In 1894. Cupid and Venus pattern, Richards & Hartley, 1875, reissued by U. S. Glass in 1891. You nailed it, Scott! What a find, about 135 years old or more!! 😮

I like your first idea of using a black tablecloth for the watermelon glass tablescape. After all, the watermelon seeds are usually black. Very classy. Also, I love putting mismatched pieces together. It’s more interesting. Love, love, love all of your videos and sales.

Definitely a fabulous find, Scott. The oldest glass that I have found was a pair of celery vases, Tulip pattern, from Bryce, Richards and Co., in the 1860's. I kept one and donated the other to the Historic Arkansas Museum. Bryce, Richards and Co. was a predecessor of Richards &Hartley!@@oldcuriosityshop265

Oh 'Irene', you are speaking my language when you mention 'Pink and Green'! I too am working on putting together a few place settings mixing pink and green depression glass, but with some 'clear' glass thrown in for good measure! I suggest using an ecru/off white linen tablecloth to show off the lovely 'Watermelon' glass! (please don't use a black tablecloth, save that for your Deco decorating, lol!) 🥰

Scott, I mentally shouted "No" when you suggested using a black tablecloth under the delicate pink and green depression dishes. I think black is too much poodle-skirt style. Would you consider white or cream lace? I'm sure whatever you decide will be lovely. We're getting a lot of rain here in Noblesville, Indiana, too.

I'm a sucker for big barvarian "pieces " too. That pipe reminded me of incident i had last summer...where i almost went off on a flea market vendor that was making bongs out of fenton swirl opalescent vases. Travesty. Velvet peridot or olive table cloth or one with floral print containing green and pink would be very on point.

Thank you for picking up the lovely EAPG :) The large comport is Valkyrie by Fostoria introduced in 1892. A mind boggling/eye spinning piece to find as it's called Strawberry and Fan. The Victorians loved messing around;) Hard for me to pin point the cake stand as the 6 or so plain ones all look the same to me and seem to be identified by height/width. I'm liking the bright blue milk pitcher from Czechoslovakia, maybe I need to start a collection. I'm voting for the floral pattern tablecloth mentioned below.
