Without a doubt, the Huntsman is simply fantastic, for anyone who has a house in the city and another in the countryside it is a must!!! I'm going to buy the belt bag, it looks very good in leather and has the right measurements for the Huntsman🇵🇹👍

The saw is amazing and the combination of scissors and a saw is perfect. There is the same on the Hercules. But that is a lot bigger!!!

I’ve had a huntsman since 1999,or at least an early version of it, when I bought it at 16 years old. It’s awesome. I will be buried with it.

It's hard to beat it. The saw and scissors are amazing for their size!

FYI the Huntsman is a 4 layer SAK.
@MB_EDC Жыл бұрын
Correct! At the time of making the video. I was having problem counting the layers, trying to count from the front. I now count from the back which is much easier. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

What do you think? This is good value in the UK. I think it's $40 on Amazon

@@MB_EDC Definitely seems like a good model at a decent price! It is a fairly common model so I might try to find one used.

The Farmer X looks awesome - but more expensivve - and the Hiker has a saw - but no scissors....

The best use of the corkscrew is to hold the precision screwdrivers. Victorinox make great knives though.

It was more for the saw. The corkscrew was a bonus!

That was my thought with getting the Walker. To add the Fireant and make it a mini fire starting kit

Or adding the fire starter that replaces the toothpick

I carry the one handed trekker with me to work. Mostly bc it opens one handed, plus the serrations on the blade make it good for a utility knife. But if you like saws, the one handed trekker comes with a saw. N it’s quite a bit longer than the 91 mm as it’s 111 mm knife. Also it has a locking blade and locking bottle opener. The bottle opener is beefier too. Excellent pry tool. And if you don’t like serrated blades you can get it non serrated. I just like it for work. Cutting rope or zip ties
@MB_EDC9 ай бұрын
Haha! Just read your other comment. This is a great knife! Shame the locking blade means it can't be an everyday carry for me. The Nanny state UK knife laws are quite strict. My sons both use these at work.

If you take a Huntsman out of your pocket, people smile and curiously stay... if you take out a Trakker knife, 111 mm, you're alone in the room
@MB_EDC7 ай бұрын
That is so true. I think I will invent an "eyebrow factor" for knife reviews. How strongly are people likely to react when you open the knife. 1 - no reaction. 2 - slightly raised eyebrows. 5 eyebrows high, eyes wide open. 10 - ran out the room! What do you think?

@@MB_EDC Perfect!!! every man likes knives.... Oopsss! (today we can't say that) rephrase the question, Some like knives, others don't 😁 we need to know how far we can take our knives or tools with a knife, know the law and a sense of responsibility 😉 hug

My Sister is a retired senior nurse and she is very anti-knives as she had to deal with a lot of knife wounds when she worked in hospitals. I would not want make people feel uncomfortable and I have carried pocket knives on and off for most of my teenage and adult life - always as a tool.. Never for defense. Even as a grown up, working in an office a pocket knife has so many uses...

FIELDMASTER....better than Huntsman. Wine screw is dumb for fieldcraft.
@MB_EDC Жыл бұрын
Fieldmaster is good. But don’t dismiss the Huntsman too quickly… I never use the corkscrew for wine but you can get a small Ferro rod that fits into the corkscrew, or a mini screwdriver. It can also be used to untie knots or carry a log. I think Felix Immler does a video on this.
@Fumbiver Жыл бұрын
The corkscrew will prove to be the most useful tool if you find yourself, in the woods, with a knot that just won't budge with your fingers. Voila! Just dig in with the corkscrew and you have a knot opener

The corkscrew is more useful for the woods, where there are no screws, than a screwdriver is.
@bushleague34722 ай бұрын
@@folksurvival Firearms, fishing reels, canoes, camp stoves, and ski/ snowshoe bindings all have screws. IMO neither tool is terribly useful, but the Philips makes for a more comfortable handle, and the corkscrew does nothing of actual use that cant be accomplished with the other tools.
