Thank you. I saw this via your comment in Fekix' page. I previously watched your way of doing the hex holes. Was planning to do this on my Rangergrip 178, but after seeing the depth for the 79, I'm not so keen on doing it anymore.

You are welcome. I don't think this would be good for any strong amount of torque. But it could be good for some light work like drilling small holes. Thank you for your comment and take care.

I see what you are saying. If you cut the hole out the 79 scale you can use bits but light duty stuff being one layer bits go in and can easily get cammed out. Even the one with the cutout for bits not made for a lot of torque and larger 1/4" sockets. Not intended for that. Have a good one!

True. Felix Immler showed on one of his videos that a single layer can withstand the torque to drill a 1" hole. But, I only do 1/4" at most and that is going through plastic or soft wood. Other than that, I don't really risk it. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Take care.

I don't want to look like a bore, but on your video I have counted 4 bit holding layers on Boatsman and 3 on Gardener. Don't think that that matters a lot, but still it makes Boatsman stronger than Gardener.
